The PowerCenter Developer Edition is available on Windows and Linux platforms. The Developer edition also supports all databases supported by the full licensed version of PowerCenter. Application Developers and partners interested in the PowerCenter Developer edition can choose to download the PowerCenter Developer edition on either the Windows or Linux platform and choose one database type for the repository. Developers or partners can also use this database type in PowerCenter sessions in the following way: Use the chosen database type as data source Use the chosen database type as data target Run lookup and stored procedure transformations on the chosen database type

Restrictions
The PowerCenter Developer Edition has the following usage restrictions: You can only run one session at a time. The Load Manager allows only one session to run at a time. Thus if you run multiple workflows concurrently, the sessions in the workflows run sequentially one at a time. The PowerCenter Developer Edition automatically sets the MaxSessions flag to 1 regardless of what you specify in the configuration. Note that the FailSessionIfMaxSessionsReached configuration flag is still applicable. The DTM limits the number of rows that the Source Qualifier can output to 10,000 rows. For single group Source Qualifiers (such as Relational SQ or Flat File SQ), the reader restricts the row output by reading only 10,000 rows at max from the source. After this event an end of file (EOF) is forced. In the case of multi-group Source Qualifiers, each group is able to output only 10,000 rows. After this event any row obtained from the reader is not passed for transformations. Therefore, for multi-group Source Qualifiers (such as XML or SDK-based plug-in sources) the Informatica Server can read more than 10,000 rows from the source but it only processes the first 10,000 rows. The PowerCenter Developer Edition does not allow the use of multiple database licenses. Therefore, the Informatica Server configuration should specify only one database license.

Error Messages
The PowerCenter Developer Edition displays the following error messages: DBG_21643 Error: The Informatica server license does not allow more than one database license to be used at a time. Cause: The Informatica Server configuration contains more than one database license key. Action: Your Informatica license does not allow you to use more than one database license at a time. Remove one of the database license keys from the Informatica Server configuration. For more information, see the Restrictions documented above or contact the Informatica Developer Network.

BR 16057 WARNING: The test load rows specified [number of rows] exceeds the maximum rows [number of rows] permitted with the current license. An EOF will be forced when the row count reaches the maximum permitted rows. Cause: The number of rows you have tried to load is greater than the maximum number of rows allowed by this Informatica license. Action: See the Restrictions documented above or contact the Informatica Developer Network. BR 16058 WARNING: The Informatica server license does not allow more than [number of rows] rows to be read. An EOF has been forced for the pipeline starting at DSQ [number of rows] Cause: The reader (for single group Source Qualifiers) has read the maximum number of rows allowed by this Informatica license. Action: See the Restrictions documented above or contact the Informatica Developer Network. WID 11107 "WARNING: The number of rows output by a group of the DSQ [%s] has exceeded the limit of [%u] rows. This restriction is imposed due to the server license being used. No more rows will be processed on this group of the DSQ, waiting for read to finish Cause: The reader (for multi-group Source Qualifiers) has read the maximum number of rows allowed by this Informatica license. Action: See the Restrictions documented above or contact the Informatica Developer Network.
