Literacy

Our focus this week will be visualizing and analyzing characters in a story/text we read. We will discuss how things that happen throughout the story change the character and the way we see/feel about the character. During your nightly reading, you may want to pick out these things in the book you are reading. We will also be focusing on verbs this week. In writing, we are going to continue our study of endangered animals. Students will be writing an informational piece about their animal of choice.

Math

Dont forget to follow your childs class on Planet K8. We will be posting pictures, great information on homework, and some Social Studies there weekly! We have switched gears and are Go to: https://www.planetk8.com/ focusing on Social Studies this Log In week! We will be learning how to Click on the Classes t ab at the top and click Follow read maps and also locating all Find your childs class to the right of your childs class the continents and oceans.

Important Dates and News

This week, we are continuing to practice different strategies for adding and subtracting 3digit numbers. Each class is still on the chase to collect 1,000 bottle caps. Help out our class collection by sending in bottle caps each day!
