1.0 Guidelines for work carried out on assembly locations by outside companies using welding and/or related processes for Loesche GmbH and its subcontractors 1.1 General
The preparation and execution of work using welding, cutting and/or related processes by outside firms is permitted only on the basis of contractual agreements. During the period of performance all legally valid regulations, standards, accident prevention regulations, operating instructions, as well as all the rules of LOESCHE GmbH and that of the plant operator are to be adhered to. The welding foreman and the technical supervisor of LOESCHE GmbH are responsible for monitoring the adherence to the following stipulations and are authorized to issue instructions to these firms. Prior to carrying out alterations or maintenance and repair work on supporting structures and safety installations of LOESCHE mills and their plant components it is necessary to obtain the verification and approval from the responsible technical departments (project management / statics) of LOESCHE GmbH. This applies especially to structural alterations or new constructions which have an effect on or are connected to the main supporting structure. The contractor is to guarantee that work on the supporting structure and the safety installations of LOESCHE mills and their plant components is carried out in accordance with DIN 18 800 T7 Class "E" or in accordance with the specifications of LOESCHE GmbH in consultation with the relevant technical departments of LOESCHE GmbH.

The technical supervisor (welding supervisor) of LOESCHE GmbH has the following monitoring tasks to perform during or after the completion phase of the welding work: Checking the adherence to the manufacturing instructions Checking that work is/has been carried out properly Checking the preparation and execution of the weld seam Specifying of additional non-destructive tests Checking the adherence to matters relating to health, work and fire protection Acceptance of welding work completed Checking accompanying documents
In case of welding work planned on support structures and safety installations of LOESCHE mills and their plant components, on hydraulic pipes as well as on auxiliary equipment, the technical supervisor (welding supervisor) of LOESCHE is authorized to check outside companies prior to the start of work for their suitability to perform their services. In case of shortcomings the technical supervisor (welding supervisor) of Loesche GmbH is authorized to stop the welding work and/or related processes until further notice, or to prevent the use of manufactured or repaired components /modules due to their lack of quality.
1.5 Documents to be submitted by the contractor after completion of the welding work
The following documents are to be submitted by the contractor to the customer following the completion of work and prior to commissioning of the mill in connection with the acceptance: Material test certificates according to DIN EN 10 204 (at least one acceptance certificate "3.1" is required for all supporting components). Protocol about all heat treatment measures carried out Proof of the weld filler metals used Test reports about the non-destructive tests carried out (ultrasonic test, surface crack test) Proof of the welding work carried out together with the respective signatures of the welders and responsible personnel in accordance with this rule (see enclosure "Accompanying document for welding work" or comprehensible provisions of the contractor).

Execution of welding work outside the scope of application of qualification verification (subordinate work)
Outside companies who in the performance of their services carry out subordinate welding work must use welders who are in possession of a welding test certificate according to DIN EN 287 whose validity corresponds to the service to be rendered. The execution of orders without the knowledge of welding specifications such as welding processes, parent metal, filler metal, evaluation group, heat treatment, etc., is forbidden.
