SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS
Currently among the top 20 students of my department. Was the only Bachelors student selected for the Spring Doctoral School 2012 organized by the Vrije Universteit Brussel. Secured an All India Rank 443 in IIT-JEE 2009 among 400000 students. Ranked among top 1% students in AIEEE-2009. Was the topper of the School in class ten and twelve board examinations.

INTERNSHIP
Measuring,Modelling and Simulation of (Non)Linear Dynamic Systems under the guidance of Professor Johan Schoukens,Department ELEC,VUB,Brussels(May-July 2012) Internship was a part of the Doctoral School during which I undertook various courses on System Identication namely Introduction to system identication, measuring dynamic systems, dynamic system identication, measuring and modelling of non linear systems, simulation tools for non linear systems. Worked on system identication problems using unbiased and consistent estimators, weighted least squres estimator. Also worked on estimation in the presence of errors on the input and output data ie. errors in variables method. Worked on identication of non linear systems by using Best Linear Approximation and Volterra representation of systems. MATLAB was used for simulations.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Separation of Speech Signals in reverberant environment under the guidance of Dr. R.Hegde, Assistant Professor,EE Department IIT Kanpur (May-July 2011) An algorithm for separating speech sources from mixed signals was implemented using beamforming and independent component analysis with music group delay method. A cost function based on correlation was developed and the simulations were done for various speech signals. The algorithm worked better than most general methods known. MATLAB was used for coding and simulation.

COURSE PROJECTS
Blind Image Deblurring based on Sparse Representation under the guidance of Dr. Sumana Gupta, Professor,EE Department IIT Kanpur (Fall 2012) Course project for EE-604(Digital Image Processing), in a group of four. 1

An algorithm is implemented for blind image deblurring by exploiting the sparsity property of natural images. Patches from natural images are represented sparsely by an over-complete dictionary. An alternating minimization scheme is used in which we address each of the optimization variable separately as it is a multiple optimization problem. Simulations are performed for various data sets using MATLAB. Direction of Arrival estimation for coherent and non coherent sources under the guidance of Dr. R.Hegde, Associate Professor,EE Department IIT Kanpur (Spring 2012) Course project for EE-301 Digital Signal Processing, in a group of ve. Direction of Arrival(DOA) of non-coherent sources is rst estimated using Independent Component Analysis. Then the information of non-coherent sources is eliminated from the data. Forward-backward Spatial Smoothing is performed on the new data to estimate the DOA of coherent sources. MATLAB was used for coding and simulations. Effect of slip in Wheeled Mobile Robots(WMR) under the guidance of Dr. R.Potluri, Associate Professor,EE Department IIT Kanpur (Fall 2011) Course project for EE-650 Basics of Modern Control Systems, in a group of three. Slip effects were studied on a WMR which has four independently driven and steered wheels. The slip controller was developed using two well known controllers, namely, Proportional- Derivative(PD) controller and Sliding Mode(SM) controller. The two controllers were compared based on tracking of reference trajectories by the WMR. The simulations were performed on Matlab.
