THANK YOU LETTER

There are so many people who have shown their support to me and my wife, Cathy in the
past several weeks that I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely say “Thank You.”
Following my recent illness, countless residents of the Ellicottville area have showered
us with kindness - from bringing us cookies, soups, salads and other goodies to mowing
our lawn and taking care of our gardening. I have also received numerous cards and
phone calls. Your generosity, compassion and prayers are greatly appreciated. It is
comforting to know that we have so many friends here to help us out. Thank you all so
very much from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, Donald J. Pritchard

Little League Champs

The Villager Rockies Finish Out the Season On Top

The Villager Rockies are the 2009, 9-10 Year Old Little League Baseball Champions in the
ECLV Little League Program! The Rockies bested the Cattaraugus Royals this past Monday
night in Little Valley 7 to 5. Behind a fine pitching performance from Robert Spell and Frank
Neff, the Rockies were led at the plate by Walter Woodarek, Evelyn Cortez, Mitchell “The
Pistol” Sexton, Evan Palmatier and Hunter O’Stricker. Zach Golley had a fine defensive
performance behind the plate for the Rockies. The Rockies and their coaches would like to
thank The Villager for being their sponsor for the 2009 season! Photos/Mike Painter
