PESTLE analysis of Austria Political: Austria is a democratic republic country and have a very stable political scenario from

year 1955 onwards, currently Austria is ranked 6th among 58 industrial countries by the World Competitive Yearbook 2010. Economic: Austria, with its well-developed market economy and high standard of living, is closely tied to other EU economies, especially Germany's. Its economy features a large service sector, a sound industrial sector, and a small, but highly developed agricultural sector. Following several years of solid foreign demand for Austrian exports and record employment growth, the international financial crisis and global economic downturn in 2008 led to a recession that persisted until the third quarter of 2009. Austrian GDP contracted 3.8% in 2009 but saw positive growth of about 2% in 2010. The international financial crisis caused difficulties for some of Austria's largest banks whose extensive operations in central, eastern, and south-eastern Europe faced large losses. The government provided bank support - including in some instances, nationalization - to prevent insolvency and possible regional contagion. In the medium-term all large Austrian banks will need additional capital. Even after the global economic outlook improves, Austria will need to continue restructuring and emphasizing on knowledge-based sectors of the economy. Social: Culture, environmental quality, high living standards, security, classic dwellings and shopping - Austria has it all and more, when it comes to everyday quality of life. No wonder that the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2009 ranks Austria number 1 in quality of life Legal: Labor laws are very strong in Austria and the labor organisations play vital role in business. One of Austrias foremost attractions as a business location is its business-friendly tax system. Profits are taxed with a standard tax rate of 25 percent - a strong showing even in comparison to the new EU member states. A levy such as trade or net worth taxes (the norm in other European countries) does not exist in Austria. Environmental: For a long time after the war (world war), reconstruction and supporting the industrial development were the only priorities to Austrians. Only in the late seventies, environmental movements gained momentum and the general awareness of pollution and other issues increased. Later, a Green party formed and a number of environmental laws were released to protect the nature of the nation. The major environmental issues concerned with Austria are 1) transit traffic mostly in Tyrol & Salzburg (important road link connecting north and south Europe) 2) industrial pollution. Tocana de miel Ingrediente: 800 gr. carne miel, 2 buc. praz, 4 buc. morcovi, 1 buc. telina, 1 buc. radacina patrunjel, 5 buc. cartofi, o lingura faina, 6 cuisoare, 1 buc. Lamiie Mod de preparare: Se fierb toate legumele taiate in bucatele mici in apa rece si sarata, in care s-au pus si cuisoare. Dupa ce s-a luat spuma, se adauga carnea taiata in bucatele (fara oase). Indata ce carnea a fiert, se scoate si se tine la cald, intr-o cratita pe aburi. Se strecoara supa prin sita, se adauga o lingura de faina, sucul de lamiie, iar la sfirsit, bucatelele de carne. Se lasa cratita pe foc mic, sa mai dea citeva clocote, apoi se serveste tocana fierbinte.

Salata de vara dulce-acrisoara

Ingrediente: o legatura de ridichi rosii, 4-5 rosii mijlocii, un castravete de sera cu coaja cit mai subtire (150-200 gr.), 3 ardei grasi nu foarte mari, 100-150 gr. cirese dulci mari, 100-150 gr. de brinza dulce de vaci, 200 gr smintina, 50 gr. telemea sarata, sare,piper Mod de preparare: Castravetele, rosiile, ardeii se taie bucatele nu prea mici si se pun intr-un castron. Ridichile se taie si ele si se tin 10 min. pe o farfurie dupa ce se sareaza bine pentru a se inmuia, apoi se clatesc sub jet de apa si se pun in castronul cu rosiile. Ciresele se curata de simburi si se pun si in castron. Brinza se amesteca cu smintina si apoi se toarna in castron si se amesteca totul, se rade deasupra 3/4 din telemea si se condimenteaza dupa gust. Se rastoarna in vasul din care se va servi si se rade deasupra restul de telemea. Mod de servire: Se poate orna cu un kiwi, cu care se poate si acri un pic. Se serveste la cartofi prajiti si friptura sau cu frigarui.

Supa cu galuste de ficat Ingrediente: supa de carne de vaca sau pui; galuste: 125 gr. ficat, 20 gr. unt proaspat, 2 oua, 1 lingura pesmet, sare, piper Mod de preparare: Se curata ficatul de vine si pielite si se trece prin masina de tocat. Apoi separat se freaca untul cu ouale pina se face o crema ce se adauga la ficat. Se pune sare, piper si pesmetul cernut. Se ia cu lingurita din compozitie si se fac mici galuste ce se fierb in apa clocotita cu sare, 1/2 ora, pe foc potrivit. Cind sint gata, se scot cu spumuitoarea, se scurg si se pun in castronul de servit. Deasupra se strecoara supa.
