CRITICAL REASONING

When we say reach the conclusion, adopt this process. Add the assumption to the facts given in the argument. If you reach the same conclusion as stated in the argument, then you have made the right one else it is the incorrect one. In reasoning terminology, label the argument as the type where a causal relationship has been turned into a cause and affect one Weaken the argument: challenge the assumption Strengthen the argument: add weight to the assumption.

This is what we do in a paradox question: break down the question into smaller bits, find the problem part and rectify that. It is only one part of the argument that is weak and needs some additional support. Identify that part.

The answer you select must follow from the information in the stimulus. But be careful: even if an answer choice must be true according to the stimulus, if it fails to capture the main point it cannot be correct. This is the central truth of Summary Writing questions: The correct answer must pass the Fact Test (that is it consist of facts mentioned in the paragraph), but with the additional criterion that the correct answer choice must capture the authors point. Para Completion:

In this, the thread where the author leaves us is how multi-dimensional crosswords are. Third thing: Continue the thread of thought keep in mind the first thing. Well, the one thing we have done for sure is use confusing language for our rules. All we want to say is that continue the last thought of the author keeping in mind the overall idea of the passage.

Do not do the following: Do not get stuck on words. Do not get stuck on the last line. The last line is vastly different from the last thought. Para-completion in a way is thought completion.

There are the following things that you need to keep in mind while answering Para-completion questions: 1. 2. 3. 4.
