Many questions rose to our mind when we think in Spain, what distinguish this unique European country from the others country. Is it location? Or their Spanish language? Why many people visit this country? Spain, home of the European and World Champions offers a combination of sun, sea, sand and soccer. Suitable for men, women, veteran and youth teams, the Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, Costa Del Sol and Balearic Islands are excellent destinations for teams wishing to combine a Mediterranean holiday. In our project we will talk briefly about Spain starting from its history , location , regions , religion, and general information including their flags , the way they role and other. Also, we will know more about what make Spain attract tourist and their tourism.
General information
Spain is a democracy organized in the form of a parliamentary government under a constitutional monarchy since 1978. It is a developed country with the thirteenth largest economy in the world by nominal GDP. Spain also has high living standards with the tenth-highest quality of life index rating in the world as of 2005. It is a member of the United Nations, NATO, OECD, and WTO. Spain is the second largest country in Europe after France with a size of 506,000MM square meters and has 42 Million population sizes. The Flag of Spain The flag of Spain has three horizontal bands of red (top), yellow (double width), and red with the national coat of arms on the hoist side of the yellow band; the coat of arms is quartered to display the emblems of the traditional kingdoms of Spain.
Religion
Spain is an important place for Catholicism, Islam, and Judaism. In fact, some of the holiest places for the Catholic Church are in Spain: city of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia (North-West Spain), the third holiest place after the Vatican City in Rome and Jerusalem
Tourism
In 2007, Spain became the second most visited country of the world after France. That year, almost 60 million foreign tourists were received, according to the World Tourism Organization, which has its headquarters in Madrid. In 2010, Spain dropped to the fourth most visited country in the world after France, the United States and China with 53 million visitors. Beach tourism also has been involved in the beautiful beaches of Spain .Spain location give it the priority for tourism were it is surrounded be water from north to south. Spain offers a number of historical cities and towns. Major destinations include Spain's two largest cities: Madrid and Barcelona, which stand as two of the leading city destinations in Europe. Both offer a matchless number of attractions and their importance in commerce, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, sports and arts contribute to their status as two of the world's major global cities. Barcelona, capital of the Catalan region and a vibrant cosmopolitan city of 3 million people, is nestled between the mountains of Catalonia and the Mediterranean Sea. The famous Nou Camp, Las Ramblas, Gaudi, architecture, beaches, cuisine, nightlife, are synonymous with the magnificent city of Barcelona, a city that is steeped in history.
No visit to the city is complete without a pilgrimage to the Camp Nou, home to FC Barcelona, and their stadium.
