The National Youth Council in collaboration with UNICEF invites qualified firms to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of Media Training Services during a 5-Day Capacity Building Workshop. The specific objectives of the Media Training Services will include; i) To equip Council members and staff with skills required to collect, analyze and report information in an accurate, consistent, balanced and timely manner. ii) To train Council members and staff to improve the quality and to provide insight to the image, place and role of the council through media monitoring and the ultimate image and performance. iii) To develop a comprehensive report on the training component. Key focus areas of the Media Training i) Elements of communication. ii) Interactive communication. iii) Public Speaking iv) Media Presentation/Image and appeal. v) Social networking Scope of the Training The Training will be organised into workshop sessions of 2 hours each. There will be four session per day. The 38 Participants will be issued with Training notes prepared in slides on PowerPoint application. Duration of Training The Training will be conducted in 2 (two) days, from 26 th and 27th September, 2013.

The Bidding is open to both local and international consultants, and the consultant will be selected in accordance with the regulations. Local firms owned by youth are particularly encouraged to apply. NYC now invites interested firms to submit their proposals to providing training services. Interested firms must provide information to demonstrate their capacity to perform the services detailed in the request for proposal document, including, Curriculum vitae of key expert staff that will be mobilised to carry out the assignment. Description of relevant assignment undertaken over the past 3 years. In case of a joint venture or consortia, provide a relent documents for registration, association agreement and information on partners. The Request Proposal Document can be obtained from Kencom House, 3 rd Floor, at Door No. 318 during working hours (8.00am to 5.00pm). No fees will be charged on the documents. Proposals shall be replied through e-mail on the following address; nationalyouthcouncilofkenya@gmail.com Or by hand to the following location; Kencom House, 3rd Floor, Door No. 318. So as to be received not later than 17th September, 2013 at noon (12.00am). Proposals shall be clearly marked; Tender No NYC 1/2013-2014 for selection of firms for Media Training Service Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders who wish to attend the opening of proposals on the same day, 17th September, 2013 starting at noon (12.00am) at the Conference Room Kencom House, 3 rd Floor.
