Timeline for Last Days and The Great Tribulation Period

Caesar Augustus 27BC * When Jesus warned about the tribulation period,
He was telling His disciples and other Jews what they would be going through. He was not talking to a future generation. This tribulation was part of the Last Days. * The Last Days began when Jesus was crucified and lasted until the End of the Age.

* The Jewish revolt is known as the falling away (2 Thessalonians 2:3) it was an attempt by the Jewish people to get out from under Roman rule. What Hitler did to the Jews during WWII was an abomination. But what the Caesars did to the Jews during the last half of the 1st century was even worse. Not only did they kill a larger percentage of the Jews alive in the world, but they tortured them in the process. 64AD Fire destroyed much of Rome. Nero blamed the Christians and executed them on crosses. He even had many set ablaze as human torches. This was the beginning of the tribulation period which Jesus had warned about and in which Peter and Paul were executed at Rome. (2 Peter 1:14)(2 Timothy 4:6)(1 Peter 5:17) Prisoners are moved from islands to Greece to dig the canal. Vespasian sent many of the captured Jews and Christians to Greece to dig the canal through the isthmus at Corinth for Caesar Nero. (Josephus, B3, C10, V10) But digging is stopped shortly after Neros death, and the prisoners are sent back to the Aegean islands. John of Patmos probably received Revelation during one of these two island stays. 70 or 71AD Titus (The Prince) demolished The Temple (He left not one stone standing on top of another) (Abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place) 73-75AD Vespasian begins construction on Colosseum at Rome. Moves the slaves from islands to Italy to work at quarrying and moving the stones for the construction. 81AD Titus finished the Colosseum and held inauguration games where many of the Jewish and Christian slaves were killed by gladiators swords and wild animals from Africa. Thereby fulfilling the vision of John of Patmos. Domitian continued this slaughter of the captives and had no need to send any captives back to Greece, since the canal digging was discontinued shortly after Neros death.
