Synopsis

This module addresses the principles and techniques of resource and project management. It provides the understanding and application of (a) Project Teams; (b) Project Planning Techniques; (c) Financial Planning and Cost Control; (d) Resource Planning and Control; (e) Strategic Sourcing; (f) Project Monitoring and Review; and (g) Risk Management. Students will be discussing and working on project case studies. Project case studies will be introduced to illustrate the connectivity of the project management theory and the industry using techniques and tools learn in this module.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, students should be able to: No. Course Learning Outcome Able to: (a) Identify, explain and communicate the project risk and the requirements for managing projects effectively within the business environment; (b) describe and use appropriate techniques to write project proposal and construct project plan in a team; (c) discuss the contributing factors to the formulation and management of project teams from start to finish; and (d) discuss the key elements in managing project and resources.
