Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? Jer. 32:27. Today, the entire world is enveloped in darkness and the children of men in utter and total darkness. Most people are languishing and many believers are physically, spiritually emotionally or financially traumatized; lamenting whether God is still hearing prayer. The problems range from inability to secure appropriate spouse, getting children, securing gainful employment, resident permit, poor health, to fighting an endless spiritual battles with evil spirits and principalities of darkness and wickedness in high places. The problems are diverse in nature, dimension and intensity. The burning zeal of a number of faithful are under severe depression while the flame of faith seems extinguished. Is God no longer there? Is He unable to cope anymore? Is He no longer listening to prayer? Shall the Lord allow this evil ones to devour and kill the faithful? Has the Supreme King of the Universe abandoned the world to Satan? As faith continues to undergo series of stress tests, the questions from believers remain endless. But believe me: God is still there and in absolute control: I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the Heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. Isa. 48:12-13. Trust the fact, that God is able to cope: Has thou not known? Has thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not and neither is He weary? There is no searching of His understanding Isa. 40:28. Why would you even imagine that the mighty Creator of the universe cannot cope when the entire Universe with all the forces, good and evil, and all peoples, presidents, kings, nobles and peasants are regarded by Him as nothing and they are counted to Him as less than nothing, and of total vanity. All nations of the world are regarded by Him as small dust. Isa. 40: 15-25 Is God no longer listening to prayer? He is ever listening but only to the prayer of those who call upon Him in truth and even then, only the desire of those who fear Him shall be fulfilled. Psalm 145:18-19. But trust God, that His love for you can never fail. While He does not condone sins, He will never turn His back unto sinners or forsake all those who genuinely seek His mercy and forgiveness. Gods love is perfect, reliable and trustworthy. But if so, why is this endless waiting for the fulfillment of my needs a Christian brother asked? Why must I continue to suffer despite the fact that I worship this God and pray without ceasing? Let us examine the reaction of God: Thus said the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. Jer:6:16. Which was the good way chosen by Rebeca, Ruth, Esther to secure good husbands?

Rebecca (wife of Isaac) Gen 24:16 Now the young woman was very beautiful, to behold a virgin, no man had known her. And she went down to the well, filled her pitcher, and came up. And the servant of Abraham (Isaacs father) ran to meet her and said, Please let me drink a little water from your pitcher So she said Drink my Lord Then she quietly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him to drink. And when she had finished giving him to drink, she said I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking and so she did. Gen. 24:64-65 further told us that when Rebecca was brought, she sighted her groom to be Isaac, then quickly dismantled from her camel, took her veil to cover herself and humbled herself before Isaac. Ruth: And unto her mother-in-law Ruth said Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you lodge, I will lodge, Your people shall be my people and your God my God, where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. Ruth 1:16-17. So also is the story of Leah Gen. 29 and Esther, Esther 2:15-18. The benchmark of these various women of the bible who found favor with God in securing God-fearing husbands and matrimonial peace and joy are total humility and submission, strong character, faithfulness and integrity rather than beauty intoxication; well cultured tongue that is shrouded in politeness, grace, and peace rather than lousy and boastful tongue, and above all, patience, perseverance and faith. They were indeed virtuous women who delighted in marrying into low estate, trusting on Gods power of exaltation, rather than a mind of high imagination, set on endless search for princes and nobles. For those seeking the fruits of the womb: Him that is faithful and all powerful hath said For I will have respect unto you and make you fruitful, and multiply you Lev 26:9. There shall not be male or female barren among you or among your cattle Deut. 7:14. Even if you have been marked and yoked for barrenness by the evil world: know this, that There are many devices in a mans heart; nevertheless, it is the counsel of the Lord that shall stand Prov.19:21. But remember that Hannah stood on that ancient good road to receive from God the good road of total hope, faith and trust in the Lord. She was devoted and committed to worship service before God, humble and submissive, upright in the commandments of God and unprovoked by the mockery and indignation of despisers. She knew that God had the solution to her problem and she did all that was required by God to attract His attention and positive response. My beloved sisters in the Lord, the Lord hath spoken, you will soon carry your own children. God has also assured you in Psalm113:9 that you will become mother of children. Believe Him: He is faithful. That illness is not unto death or short life but for the glory of God. Your unwavering faith and persistent prayer are already acknowledged by God. Your days of pain will soon be over and your healing process and restoration quickened. Remain steadfast in faith and more determined in prayer; by His stripes you are already healed. He is the physician. Witches, wizards, occultists, demons and all agents of darkness and wickedness are vain and powerless, before the chariots of God. Yes, I know that you are taunted at night. Yes, the evil ones are also boasting to take your life. So did Jezebel, the great witch boasted to kill Elijah: 1 Kings 19:2, and so also did Rab-shakeh, the great King of Assyria boasted that no gods, not even the Almighty God of Heaven could deliver Judah from him. Isa. 36. Gods response has always remained consistent: Be not afraid, nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but Gods. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle, set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the Salvation of the Lord. He is infinite in power and authority. With God nothing is impossible. Just believe
