PSA St.

Johns Catholic school provided the opposition in today's second round fixture of the ESFA cup for our PSA boys and in no uncertain terms they were sent back up the M2 feeling exhausted. From the whistle to start the match the game was well in the control of the PSA midfield and with their dominance and eye for playing in the prolific Leslie Lewis the game quickly got beyond St.Johns. Leslie bagged 4 goals during his time on the pitch and another 4 were shared around with the pick of a bunch being Tyler Castles strike from the half way line. St.Johns did get, as the commentators would say a consolation goal but I am sure their was no comfort in the final score line of 8-1. Third round here we come. Yr11
IOSA 4- 0Brompton

The IOSA boys, led by Captain Danny Rumbol made a quick start to the game scoring within the first ten minutes with superb build up play which was calmly slotted home by Harry Bates. IOSA kept up the pressure on the Brompton goal to keep them contained within their half. The second goal did eventually come when an expertly threaded through ball from Aaron Hicks to Striker Harry Bates who finished easily. The second half started as the first finished with IOSA constantly battering the opposition goal. The third goal was a real team goal with the majority of the team participating in the move which culminated with Aaron Hicks slotting the ball in the net. With 20 minutes to go, Ross Pagett with one of his first touches blasted the ball like a missile from 40 yards into the top corner. From that point on it was a case of how many could IOSA notch up but with some optimistic shooting the Brompton keeper could breathe more easily and got to see his net rustle no more. Special mention must go to man of the match Lex Allan who showed maturity beyond his years in the middle of the park. Not only was he playing up a year but showed the skill and grace to dominate proceedings ad therefore had to be man of the match. Please praise the following boys as you see them around the school. Team: Danny Hook-Utting , Daniel Timson, Danny Rumbol (C), Steven Long, James Cullinane, Harry Hornsby, Lex Allan, Harry McEntire, Aaron Hicks, Thomas Newbury, Harry Bates, Jack Barnes, Tony Hardley, Callum Coombs, Richard Bennett, Ross Pagett
Thank you Mr Peters and Mr Spocchia Yr 9 JEVON GRABS A BRACE!! The year 9 boys breezed into the second round of the ESFA Boys Under 14s Playstation Schools Cup with a 3-0 win over Archbishops School. The first half was one way traffic with IOSA having the majority of possession. Darren Cooper had the opportunity to open the scoring with a few long range efforts however failed to test the goalkeeper. Effort and determination from MOM Jevon Young kept Archbishops on their toes and

eventually capitalised on a chance with a wonderful looping effort over the oppositions goalkeeper. IOSA 1-0 Archbishops Half Time. The second half was very much the same as the first with endless pressure from IOSA. Young was disappointed to hit the bar from 20 yards but made up for it with his second, a wonderful curled effort into the top right hand corner which left the goalkeeper rooted to the spot. Brandon Campbell added a third to tie up this 1st round cup tie. 3-0 does not give justice to the tie and IOSA must want to prove their ability to score more goals in the next round of the cup which is away at Dover Grammar School for Boys. This has been the most successful start to cup campaigns
