A Software Company providing SAS to Fortune 5 clients like GE, Pfizer, Baxter, Coke & Levis Strauss globally.

Joined as Manager IT Infra (India) in the capacity of India IT head (Infrastructure & delivery with ownership
of 4 sites) reporting directly to the country head.

The Corporation is an Indo-US software development company and employs 500 developers across the
globe. India contributes to 70% of the workforce and 90% percent of revenue. It is a wholly owned
subsidiary of NRI owned American company called SDG Corporation, incorporated in the state of
Connecticut, USA.

Initiatives taken & accomplished are –

• Information Security : ISMS and ISO 27001 compliance, leading to complete certification. Writing
SOPs, IT Infrastructure Manual as a book of reference for IT services. User awareness, policy
adherence and application of Six-sigma for superior and better IT services in continuous
improvement.

• Setting up of BCP/DRP site. Setting up a level 1 data-center scalable to level 3 as per the
requirement and investment inflows.

• Infrastructure (Servers, LAN, MPLS (WAN)) overhaul and capacity augmentation to take the
organization’s delivery level to next paradigm based on high availability.

• Excessive emphasize on open source solution for Office productivity, Storage through development

Satellier Inc. is the world’s largest Architect firm, houses 300 architects in different locations spanning in
US, UK, China, with its Global delivery centre at Noida.

Accomplishments

• Licensing of operating systems & other proprietary soft-wares running in house provided by
Microsoft, IBM, & other industry big vendors without infringing the registration, anti-piracy acts & at
minimum cost.

• Development of the corporate Wiki site using MS SharePoint and SQL Server at the backend.

• Development of the corporate intranet portal and workflow management software over ASP.NET
with SQL server at the backend keeping in mind the “Individual Proprietary Rights” & promoting as
well as safe guarding the company’s business interests.

• Lay the communication convergence from usual PSTN telephony to IP based conferencing. Installed
a fully modular state of the art EPABX and patched with an Audio Codes VOIP Gateway.
 • Implemented a seamless & a pervasive e-mail on MS-Exchange 2003 and a supper-efficient IP
based voice communication line with the various client sites & offices spanning globally.

• Planned & implemented the entire IT & Telecom infrastructure of 75 seating capacity Kolkata office.
The project included installing the core data & voice network, production and domain servers,
desktop computers, E1 leased line, routers and EPABX at least cost and with best quality.

• Setup of 20 seat NewYork office through effective liaison with international vendors through
effective rollout of an efficient project plan. Installed firewall to firewall (Cisco ASA) Virtual LAN
between NewYork and Noida further augmenting to a WAN over MPLS to accommodate QOS for
VOIP and faster data transfer and getting the entire infrastructure hosted out of third party
collocation site for high availability and safety.

• Negotiating with vendors like Dell & HP in US / UK / APAC for cheaper and faster procurement of
Hardware in NYC / London / Hongkong.

• Installed Cisco ASA, Barracuda SPAM/Antivirus Firewall along with Symantec Enterprise Anti-Virus.
Installed NetApp NAS for centralized storage, backup and data security.

• Installed a Virtual Private Telephone Circuit over VOIP for cost free voice connectivity between
Kolkata & New York satellite office and the corporate head office at Noida.

• Compliance of ISMS (Information Security & Management System) ISO 27001. Laying and initiating
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a highly adaptive manner to streamline the majority of
day-to-day IT process.

Aug’03 – Mar’06 JCT Electronics Ltd. IT Head

JCT Electronics Ltd. is India’s first private television picture tube manufacturer. It had technical and
financial collaboration with Display technology leader Hitachi, Japan.

Accomplishments

• Reduced the cost of operation and upgraded the legacy infrastructure as well. Upgrade includes
EPABX to IPPBX & Desktop clients and Servers (E-mail & Domain/authentication)

• Licensing of operating systems & other proprietary soft-wares running in house provided by

• Maintained SAP (implemented in 1996) & dismounted to facilitate the implementation of MS Navision
ERP at the plant in Vadodara.

Jan’00 – July’03 Commenced corporate career with HCL Infinet Ltd. L1 Technical support
HCL Infinet Ltd. was the ISP division of HCL Ltd. and started the first outsourced Tech Support for Microsoft
in India and later in Malaysia. It had also started the tech support for Yahoo! US.
