1.1 This specification is to be read in conjunction with the specification sheet of the respective equipment and codes and specifications mentioned therein. 1.2 The equipment is to be fabricated to the requirements of the ASME Sec Div VIII and Tema Class R.

2.0 Material of Construction: 2.1 Material used shall be new free of defects and shall conform to the specifications indicated. 2.2 Relevant mill test certificate shall be made available to the client for all material used in the fabrication. Where the certificates are not available, necessary test shall be performed by vendor at his cost to properly identify the material to the inspectors specification. Material test certificates are to be shown to Client approval before proceeding the fabrication 2.3 If any special requirement testing to be done from Client side, vendor has to co ordinate with client. 2.4 If the vendor wishes to use any alternative material to that indicated in the relevant specification, this shall be clearly indicated in his offer and is subjected to approval of the client/consultant.

2.5 Plates 35 mm and above in thickness should be ultrasonically tested prior to the commencement of fabrication. 2.6 All pipe materials to be used for Nozzle necks, etc should be seamless. Nozzles necks fabricated out of plate shall be 100 % radio graphed.

3.0 Fabrication: 3.1 Fabrication and tolerances are shall conform to requirements of the code specified. 3.2 Shall plates shall be sized such that the number of weld joints are kept minimum. 3.3 Welders shall be qualified for the class of welding involved and test plates shall be provided required by the code. 3.4 Local stress relief shall not to be carried out without approval of client/consultant. 3.5 All full penetration welds to be chipped back to sound metal and rewelded. Alternatively, full penetration may be achieved from one side only using welding procedure. TIG Welding for root run is essential. 3.6 Flange faces to have serrated finish unless otherwise specified. 3.7 Reinforcing rings for nozzles, pad type nozzles and pad plates for supports shall have tell tale holes tapped 1/8 NPT.After fabrication rings are to be tested for leaks with air 3.5 bar (g) and soap studs, after the test the holes to be plugged with grease.
