GOD OWNS THE NIGHT By Jeff Gatdula The Bible tells us in Jobs 31:15 that the Lord desires

to speak to us even in our dreams, an opportunity that He is always waiting for every single night (or perhaps, as long as we fall into deep sleep). I believe that this is a Godmoment for all of us although most of the time we do not fully remember what we have dreamt of or what happened during the night. Recently, I had the opportunity to pray for two people whose 'nights' were being destroyed or their sound sleep being robbed of by the enemy. The rst is a man named Oscar. A few days back we visited him in his ofce. He is a long-time friend whose sphere of inuence is really a big help in the business that my wife and I are setting up. It is a blessing to have known this man not only because of the help he has extended so far, but because of his testimony of love and dedication as a husband and as a father. However, for so many nights, he has been robbed of a good/sound sleep because of a back problem. He is suffering from scoliosis. He even told me that because of this, the bones in his chest area are also being affected as was shared to him during his most recent trip to the doctor. He even told me that there were times he would cry in the night (and her daughter would notice this thinking that he is deeply bothered by so many problems), experiencing excruciating pain caused by this sickness that would leave him sleepless. I said to myself that I cannot afford to leave his workplace without praying for him. I knew that God will touch him in a special way and a breakthrough will happen. I asked him if we can pray. He said yes. Together with Doxee, my beautiful wife, we laid hands on him and cancelled the inrmity and every weakness and commanded them all to leave. We released the healing touch of Jesus as well as His glory and peace upon Bro. Oscar. I asked if he felt

something during or after the prayer. He said my hand was hot and felt a warm sensation on his back. I told him to expect a breakthrough that night and Jesus will surprise him. The following day, I forgot to follow him up regarding his back condition. He sent me a text message regarding another matter. But towards the end of the message he told me something that put a smile on my heart (see attached photo below)

Jesus did not disappoint. The touched that he felt when we prayed was a touch from heaven. Jesus is indeed faithful. He did it again! Yay God! All glory belongs to Him! The second person I prayed for, I did not know personally. It was through a friend from Cavite that I got to know her. The name is Jhing. She is not the one sick or weak, but her mom. Her mom has a brain tumor. They found out about this 2 weeks ago after a CT Scan and an MRI will follow to give them more details about the condition. Jhing's mom is strong but because of what she found out she became anxious about so many things that she can't sleep well in the night. Jhing asked me if we can pray for her mom. We prayed over Facebook (again). I told her to go to her mom's beside and just lay her hands on her and declare the peace and glory of Jesus upon her whole body, from the head to the feet. During this time also, I rebuked the tumor and cancelled every inrmity known or unknown to us. That was it. I just told her to update me if anything comes up and I will respond to her the soonest. The following day, she told me that nothing happened except that her mom had a very good sleep the night before. I told her 'eh di may nangyari!' I encouraged her that it was a breakthrough made possible by Jesus

Himself. She shared how he followed what I told her to do -- she laid her hands on her mom and after that she slept soundly all through the night. They have had 2 sleep nights prior to this one and Jhing was so happy while she was sharing this to me. Aside from getting a good sleep, another breakthrough is that Jhing's mom can now communicate better and her memory is now coming back. I told Jhing that something happened that night and that she only needed to believe in Jesus to see the miracles unfold before her very eyes. I learned later that Jhing and her family are devout Roman Catholics. Perhaps it was the rst time she ever laid hands on anyone. You see Jesus is no respecter of persons. What this means is that whenever a person believes in Him, great things are bound to happen. Jhing's story is no different. Jesus loves Jhing, her mom and the entire family. Greater things are still to come. It may not be over yet, but I know how it will end. When the battle is between the name of Jesus and the name of whatever sickness, weakness or inrmity, Jesus always wins. That is for sure. The Bible testies to it -'every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus (and no other name) is Lord!' Glory to the King!
