a historia de Runaway Train comienza en 2011 en un instituto de la capital grancanaria con fines solidarios y con el apoyo incondicional de una profesora que sigue creyendo en la humanidad. Los integrantes nos vamos descubriendo poco a poco sin llegar a imaginar la envergadura del proyecto que hemos construido. Luca conoce a Pablo en el instituto, quien se dedicaba a tocar con varios amigos y buscaba cantante para montar un grupo. Poco a poco comienzan a colaborar en actuaciones solidarias y benficas en el centro y a cumplir objetivos musicales a pequea escala. A medida que bamos creciendo bamos necesitando ms recursos humanos. As es como entran en escena nuestro primer bajista Chale y a nuestro primer batera, Luis, que eran dos amigos con quienes Pablo tocaba por diversin. Entonces empezamos a rodar por pequeos escenarios locales. Ms adelante se incorpora al grupo Saulo, quien tambin tocaba la guitarra; y poco a poco comenzamos a actuar por algunos escenarios de la isla. Nuestro grupo comienza a sonar Rock, lo llamamos rock alternativo. Al cabo de un tiempo nuestro primer batera, Luis, abandona la banda y tras mucho tiempo dimos con nuestro actual batera, David. Runaway Train contina creciendo y no cesa su actividad musical por toda la isla, recorriendo principalmente los municipios de Telde y Las Palmas. Con el apoyo de muchos amigos, familia y seguidores, creemos que necesitamos crecer, hacer de este proyecto que empez siendo tan slo un granito de arena, algo mucho mayor. Sentamos la necesidad de hacer algo grande con la banda y nos llenamos de buenas expectativas. En Marzo de 2013 la banda se enfrenta a su mayor reto: Son escogidos para tocar en la ceremonia de apertura del Mundialito de Ftbol 2013 (un torneo mundial de ftbol infantil) en Portugal tras haber compuesto lo que fue elegido el Himno del Mundialito con el single Peaceball. Actuamos por algunos escenarios en Portugal y vivimos cantidad de experiencias nuevas y enriquecedoras, tanto musical como personalmente. Afirmamos que fue algo que uni mucho ms a la banda aunque desgraciadamente a la vuelta, Chale decide abandonarla por motivos personales.

Es as como descubrimos a Marco, nuestro actual bajista, quien a partir de ahora nos acompaa en nuestro camino musical. La banda se consolida hasta el da de hoy con el nombre de Runaway Train y nos mostramos enrgicos en hacer de este proyecto algo mucho ms grande an, con ansias de volver a salir de las islas y hacer de nuestra msica y nuestro estilo algo original, llamativo y moderno. 2013 Aug, 26th
Runaway Train
Realmente no existe una explicacin por la que Runaway Train sea nuestro nombre. Todos los miembros de la banda reconocemos sentirnos atrados por la cancin Rock and Roll Train, un clsico de AC/DC. Puesto que la cancin fue lanzada en 2008 y cuenta la historia de los grandes momentos que ha vivido la mtica banda tras sus largos de carrera, y como Runaway Train significa literalmente tren fuera de control, comparamos nuestro proyecto musical con una locomotora que parte de una pequea estacin y se muestra imparable recorriendo lugares y viviendo momentos que harn de su camino algo enriquecedor y duradero.

Por qu Rock Alternativo?

Todos los miembros de la banda contamos con influencias muy diferentes. No distan muchas unas de otras a pesar de ser diversas, pues todas comparten algo con el Rock: Desde el Blues ms profundo de los sesenta o el Rock and Roll clsico de los ochenta, nuestros gustos pasan tambin por el estilos sureos, Hard Rock, Punk, Grunge, Pop, Indie y Folk, entre otros. Siempre amantes de la buena msica, tanto antigua como moderna, y tenemos el afn por descubrir nuevos sonidos y crear nuevas vibraciones en nuestros temas.
