A Bill to Ban the US Use of Combat Drones

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1: The U.S. will no longer use combat drones. SECTION 2: A. Combat Drones are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles used for harming the enemy through physical force. B. This does not pertain to the use of spy drones or any other uses for drones. Section 3: The Department of Defense will oversee that combat drones are no longer used in the U.S Military. Section 4: This bill will be implemented 10 months after passing Section 5: Any other laws in conflict of this bill will hereby be declared null and void. Submit by the University School of NSU

A Bill to Reallocate Funds from the Department of Defense to the Department of Education
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. That at least 20% of funds that were to be used by the Department of Defense be instead reallocated towards the Department of Education in the 2014 US federal government fiscal year. SECTION 2. 20% of funds used by the Department of Defense refers to the 20 % of the amount of funding that Department of Defense is receiving in the current 2013 fiscal year. The 2014 US Federal government fiscal year begins on October 1, 2013 and ends September 30, 2014 SECTION 3. The Office of Management and Budget will oversee the enforcement of the bill as part of the United States budget process. SECTION 4. This bill will be enacted by October 1, 2013 SECTION 5. A Bill to End United States Military Aid to Egypt


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. United States military aid to the nation of Egypt will be terminated. SECTION 2. Military aid is defined as taxpayer-funded programs or assistance that contribute to a nations offensive military capabilities not including nuclear non-proliferation programs or expenditures such as Foreign Military Sales or Direct Commercial Sales, which are not supported directly with taxpayer dollars. This definition is also limited to funds appropriated to either the Department of Defense or the State Department. SECTION 3. The Department of Defense and the State Department will implement and enforce this bill. They will also report to Congress bi-monthly on the status of its implementation. SECTION 4. Full United States military aid to the nation of Egypt will stop one year after the passage of this bill, completing this bills implementation. SECTION 5. A Bill to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: Section 1. The United States will finish negotiations and ratify the Trans-Pacific partnership. Section 2. The Trans-Pacific Partnership is a free trade agreement among four countries in the Asia-Pacific, currently, but with many other countries in negotiations. Section 3. The Office of the United States Trade Representative will be responsible for the implementation of this bill. Section 4. Negotiation will be complete and the Partnership will be ratified within six months of passage. Section 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. A Bill to Raise the Retirement Age


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The full retirement age for those born in 1990 and later shall be raised from 67 to 75. SECTION 2. The full retirement age shall be defined as the age at which a person may first become entitled to full or unreduced retirement benefits. SECTION 3. The Social Security Administration will be responsible for the oversight of this bill. SECTION 4. This bill will go into effect at the beginning of fiscal year 2015. SECTION 5. A Bill to Improve U.S. Infrastructure


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. $500 Billion dollars will be allocated to the Department of Transportation for the purpose of revitalizing existing U.S. Infrastructure. SECTION 2. Infrastructure shall be defined as basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society or enterprise, or the services and facilities necessary for an economy to function. SECTION 3. This bill will be implemented by the Department of Treasury and the Department of Transportation. SECTION 4. This bill will take effect January 1st, 2014 and sunset on December 31st, 2023. A Bill to Invest in Thorium Nuclear Reactors


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. $5 billion will be subsidized to the research, development, and construction of thorium powered nuclear reactors. SECTION 2. The reactor models which fall under this legislation are Heavy water reactors (PHWRs), High-temperature gas-cooled reactors (HTRs), Boiling water reactors (BWRs), Fast Neutron reactors (FNRs), and Molten salt reactors (MSRs). SECTION 3. The U.S. Department of Energy shall oversee the implementation of this bill. SECTION 4. This bill will go into effect in fiscal year 2016. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Regulate Fracking


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The Environmental Protection Agency is hereby granted the power to regulate hydraulic fracturing: A. Sections 322 and 323 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Pub.L.109-58) are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Private firms involved in hydraulic fracturing shall disclose the chemical 13 constituents used in the fracturing process. SECTION 3. The Department of Energy will oversee this legislation. SECTION 4. This bill shall be enacted at the start of the next fiscal year. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Revitalize Infrastructure in the United States


BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The creation of a National Infrastructure Bank shall herby be established. SECTION 2. A National Infrastructure Bank shall be defined as a bank that appropriates capital to infrastructure projects. SECTION 3. The Department of the Treasury in conjunction with the Department of Transportation shall be placed in charge of implementing this law. A. The Bank shall be appropriated a grant worth 5 billion dollars in initial capital. B. The Bank will only approve lending to projects that cost at least 50 million dollars. C. Every loan will be half the cost of the project and will be matched by the partner the bank is working with. D. The President and his advisors will choose and approve the banks board members. SECTION 4. This legislation shall be implemented 2 years after passage. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. A Bill to Enact Year Round Public and Private Schooling


BE ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1: Year round schooling would be enacted at the national level. SECTION 2: Year round schooling is the scheduling of educational institutions so that students take classes through the entire calendar year. Breaks are enacted during the calendar year. Students get 15 days off every other month. SECTION 3: The National Department of Education will oversee this transition. SECTION 4: This bill shall go into effect at the national level during the 2014 - 2015 school year. SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
