What is the Phasec 3 Series Flaw Detector?
Phasec 3 is a series of three eddy current flaw detectors that offer a large color display with color-coding of each channel to enhance signal interpretation. These lightweight, battery-powered units weigh just 1.1 kg. As a result, they are easy to carry to site and to use on site, with a battery life of around 6 hours. Phasec 3 Series features USB connectivity for easy downloading, reporting and printing data.

What are the applications or problems it solves?

Phasec 3 Series detectors are used to inspect aircraft and pipelines for safety reasons. Specific applications are as follows: High frequency (surface cracks) Low frequency (sub surface cracks and corrosion) Rotary (Fastener holes) Conductivity and Coating Measurement Weld inspection

There are three models in the Phasec 3 Series and they are all compatible with all commonly used, relevant, eddy current probes. Phasec 3 is a single frequency instrument for crack and corrosion detection, and conductivity and coating measurements in a wide range of applications in virtually every industrial segment. Phasec 3s adds dynamic rotating inspection capability, which ensures increased probability of detection and faster operation when inspecting bolt holes or other bores. Phasec 3d adds dual frequency capability to the functionality of the 3s so that it is possible to inspect at two different depths and optimize weld inspections.
