1 FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS: A. The Video Intercom contractor shall be responsible for the system design verification, Procurement, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a complete and fully Operational system. B. The Video Intercom system should be a complete digital system with full privacy.

1.2 VIDEO INTERCOM SYSTEM SHOULD INCLUDE:Way communication and it should include the following main items: 1. The Video Entrance intercom to call the guard or the reception desk 1&2&3&4. 2. The Entrance Intercom to call the guard or the reception desk 1&2&3&4. 3. Video Handset in apartment. 4. Interphone handset in apartment. 5. Guard Unit on security room and reception desk 1&2&3&4. 6. Video Distribution box and decoder. 7. Main Videophone Cabinet including all necessary power, relay, decoder, video distributor and protection to make the system function properly.. 1.3 SUBMITTALS A. Shop Drawings: Indicate cable routing and connections. B. Submit product data for each item of equipment. C. Submit manufacturer's installation instructions. 1.4 OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA A. Submit operation Data: Include instructions for routine operation of and remote stations. master

B. Maintenance Data: Include instructions for minor troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and cleaning.

MAINTENANCE SERVICE Furnish service and maintenance of intercom system for one year from Date of Substantial Completion.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 MANUFACTURERS: A. Available Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, manufacturers offering Video Intercom system products that may be incorporated in the work include, but are not limited to, the following: As per Vendor List Or equally approved. 2.2 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The system shall be in commercial operation with the same or similar configuration as detailed in this specification and shall be available for inspection. A reference list of such similarly configured systems and details of contact persons shall be submitted with the Tender response. A. VIDEO ENTRANCE INTERCOM: Including an adjustable pan and tilt CCD color camera with light emitters for night vision, high quality sound module and 2 digital push Button (keys) units with associated backlighting as detailed hereafter: Digitizer provides the following features: a. Video door phone calling. b. Video door phone traffic management on the basis of the number of available voice lines. c. Provision for managing electric security locks. d. Audible electric door lock actuation signals. e. Ringing duration programmable from 1 to 5 seconds. f. Audible call routed and call over signals. g. Audible service signals adjustable in intensity. h. Door-open sensor interface. i. Self-activation function, with no need for dedicated wiring. j. System connections are made via terminal blocks on the rear of each module. k. Pushbutton modules are provided with button and nameplate backlighting. B. ENTRANCE INTERCOM: 1. Working temperature range: -50C to +450C. 7. Humidity: 90% RHmax. D. INTERCOM: The Intercom handset in apartments should have the following characteristics: 1. RJ45 connector. 2. Weatherproof IP65. 3. Backlight door opener button. 4. Volume adjustment. 5. Round cross section spiral cord with phone plug on base. 6. Connectors fitted on printed circuit.

E. GUARD UNIT WITH MONITOR: The Intercom handset in apartments should have the following characteristics: 1. Guard door switchboard station designed to be used for: a) Making and receiving calls to and from apartment stations, with provision For storing any unanswered calls in memory. b) Day/Night concierge service (with or without intercepting calls from main Entrance panels to apartment stations). c) Adapted for tabletop or wall mounting. 2. Components: a. Switchboard station body. b. Graphic display. c. Multi-function keypad. d. Ringer volume control. e. Handset. f. Handset cradle.

PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

A. Systems installed in environmentally controlled areas shall meet the following performance requirements: 1. Temperature: 8 Degrees C to 43 Degrees C. 2. Humidity: 5% to 100% (Non-condensing). B. Systems installed in indoor environmentally uncontrolled areas shall meet the following Performance requirements: 1. Temperature: -18 degrees C to 49 degrees C. 2. Humidity: 5% to 100% (Non-condensing). C. Systems installed in outdoor areas shall meet the following performance requirements: 1. Wind-driven dust, dirt, sand, and rain. 2. Rain at a maximum rate of 4" per hour. 3. Wind: 200km/h (125 mph), maximum. 4. Sleet with wind: 90km/h (55 mph), maximum. 5. Humidity - 0% to 100%. 6. Temperature: -18 degrees C to 65.6 degrees C. Contractor shall carefully inspect the installed Work of all other Trades and verify that all Such Work is complete to the point where the Division installation may properly Commence. The control room(s) and Electronic security room(s) shall be free of airborne Contaminants; temperature and humidity controlled; prior to the installation of electronic Equipment. Verify that all equipment may be installed in accordance with all pertinent codes and regulations, referenced standards and the original Project Documents. D. In the event of discrepancy, immediately notify the Architect/Engineer. E. Do not proceed with installation in areas of discrepancy until such discrepancies have been Fully resolved. 3.2 INSTALLATION

A. Install all equipment in strict accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and Construction documents. B. Secure equipment using security fasteners suitable for the use, materials, and loads encountered. If requested, submit evidence proving suitability. Do not attach electrical materials to roof decking, removable or knockout panels, or temporary walls and partitions, unless indicated otherwise. C. Install all equipment with security fastening devices.

Where the Architect/Engineer determines that the ESC has installed equipment not conveniently accessible for operation and maintenance, equipment shall be removed and reinstalled as directed at no additional cost to the Agency. "Conveniently accessible" is defined as being capable of being reached without the use of ladders, or without climbing or crawling under or over obstacles such as motors, pumps, belt guards, transformers, piping, and duct work. E. the Systems shall be installed by qualified technicians who have been factory trained and Certified for these particular systems. 3.3 WORK PERFORMANCE

A. Coordinate location of equipment with other trades to minimize interferences. B. Holes through concrete and masonry in new and existing structures shall be cut with a diamond core drill or concrete saw. Pneumatic hammer, impact electric, hand or manual hammer type drills shall not be allowed, except where permitted by the Architect/Engineer as required by limited working space. C. Holes shall be located so as not to affect structural sections such as ribs or beams. D. Contractor to insure by all means necessary that penetrations do not affect any existing structural members or sections, existing conduit, or existing systems. 3.4 PROTECTION AND CLEANING

A. Protect all materials and equipment from damage during storage at the Site and throughout The construction period. Equipment and materials shall be protected during shipment and Storage against physical damage, dirt, moisture, cold and rain. B. Damage from rain, dirt, sun and ground water shall be prevented by storing the equipment On elevated supports and covering them on all sides with securely fastened protective rigid Or flexible waterproof coverings. C. Piping shall be protected by storing it on elevated supports and capping the ends with suitable closure material to prevent dirt accumulation in the piping. D. During construction cap the top of all conduits and raceway installed vertically. E. During installation, equipment shall be protected against entry of foreign matter on the Inside; and be vacuum cleaned both inside and outside before testing, operating and Painting. F. Damaged equipment shall be, as determined by the Architect/Engineer, placed in first class operating condition or be returned to source of supply for repair or replacement. 3.5 CABLE TERMINATIONS AND DRESS

A. Installation of signal, video, communication, and control conductors shall adhere to the

Crown Home Consultants Following: 1. Cables shall be installed in Panduit wire duct (or approved equal) in all cabinets, racks and/or at control panels and consoles for all wire and cable management. 2. Cables shall be secured to equipment cabinet backboards, console members or to other system components using Panduit wire duct (or approved equal). 3. All wiring is to be continuous with no splices. 4. All wiring is to be clearly identified at each end. Use a marking system that will maintain its integrity throughout the life expectancy of the wiring itself. Each conductor shall be cross referenced to the as-built drawings and specifications. 5. All conductors are to be copper; all control wiring is to be stranded. 6. All conductors are to be sized in accordance with the drawings, specifications and to meet the requirements of UL. 7. All wire and cables are to be commonly manufactured standard items, available from several different suppliers. 8. All wiring is to be in conduit. 3.6 CLEANING A. Thoroughly and properly clean all equipment and all areas of work prior to final on-site Testing. Leave all work areas as least as clean as they were prior to beginning any work. 3.7 FINAL SYSTEM ACCEPTANCE A. The system will be accepted only after a 100% complete and satisfactory test of the entire system has been accomplished. Provide written documentation stating that each and every aspect of the system has been tested and is in optimal working condition. B. ACCEPTANCE TESTS: 1. Conduct final acceptance test after a period of not less than 14 consecutive normal working days of trouble free operation, on the complete and operational systems to demonstrate that they are functioning in accordance with all requirements of this specification. During this burn-in period, the systems shall operate continuously for 24 hours per day. Demonstrate complete and proper operation. The Systems shall be final tested in the presence of the Architect/Engineer. Provide all personnel and equipment required for a full systems test. Final testing may consist of 100% device and function testing. 3.8 WARRANTY SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE:

1. Warranty a. The Division Electronic security systems shall be fully warranted for a period of two (2) years beginning on the date of Agency final acceptance. b. The warranty shall include the entire Division scope of work including all equipment, devices, materials, cable/wire, software and installation. c. Work shall be warranted to be free from defects. Any defective materials or workmanship as well as damage to the Work of all other Trades resulting from same shall be replaced or repaired as directed by the Agency for a period of two (2) years from the date of Agency final acceptance.
