Outdoor Composite Termination from 123 kV up to 170 kV OHVT

Application The termination and its components are designed to operate under severe environmental conditions. The creepage length is adjusted to the appropriate pollution levels according to IEC 60071-1 1996, IEC 60071-2 1996 and IEEE-1313.1-1996. The comprehensive design can cover polymeric insulated cable systems up to a cross section of 2500 mm2. Features Operates under severe conditions Creepage length is adjustable Pressure-tight composite housing Si-oil filling Using torque-controlled conductor bolts Prefabricated and tested Si-rubber cone Fittings are made from corrosionresistant alloy Type tested according to IEEE 48 and IEC 60840 standards

Si sheds are molded INSITU to the GFR housing. Cable outer serving is adapted through a gland system (8), which addresses the individual shielding and armoring and the sealant by heat-shrink technology. Support insulators (7) are supplied as an option when sectionalization and cross-bonding become part of the cable transmission system and separate grounding is required. A torque-controlled shear-off bolt connector (2) fits the cable conductor, thus ensuring a seal to the top assembly, without the need of special installation tools. Heat-shrinkable polymeric tubing containing oil-resistant sealant encapsulates the connector barrel and the polymeric insulation transition. 170 750 5000 1500 4580 III 2110 75 165 170 750 5000 1500 5270 IV 2110 75 165

Si-rubber stress cone (5) provides the electrical field control and can easily be applied by hand owing to its excellent elasticity. The interface between stress cone, cable insulation and inner GFR housing is filled with Si oil (4). Filling and release studs are available at the base plate and the top bolt assembly.
