Goals & Objectives Setting 2012-13 Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the process for setting Goals & Objectives? A. The Goals & Objectives setting process begins when the organizational objectives for the year are set. These are set on the basis of the organizations Mission and Vision. Based on these organization-level objectives, the Business Unit or Service Lines objectives are set, then the objectives for the verticals or practices, then the objectives for the accounts, for your project, and finally for you. Thus, your Goals & Objectives have a direct linkage to the organizations goals & objectives. Once your manager gets his or her G&Os, he or she will circulate these to the entire team. You and your manager can then have a discussion, during the course of which you both can finalize your G&Os for the year. Once this is done, you can upload your Goals & Objectives online on myWipro My Career Performance Appraisal Goals & Objectives Setting. Your manager can then approve these in the system. 2. My Annual Appraisal for 2011-12 is not complete yet. Can I still upload my Goals & Objectives for 2011-12? A. Yes, you can still upload your Goals & Objectives, as the Annual Appraisal process for the previous year has been de-linked from the G&O Setting process. 3. I have submitted the Goals & Objectives, but they are still showing pending with me. Why is that? A: It is possible that you have entered your Goals & Objectives and saved them without pressing the Submit button. Please click on Submit as shown in the image below. It is also possible that your supervisor has reverted your Goals & Objectives to you for changes. In that case, please update the G&Os as requested and re-submit the Goals & Objectives.

4. Is there an option to carry-forward some of my objectives from last year? A. Your supervisor would have had the option to do that while closing your Annual Appraisal for the previous year. If he/she has not, then you can click on the Archived Appraisal link and copy-paste the G&Os. 5. Is there an option to fill in my Goals & Objectives offline? A. No. Goals & Objectives will need to be uploaded online. . 6. Are there any Goals & Objectives templates available which I can refer?
A. Yes, please click on the G&O Templates 2012-13 link on the page, as shown below.

7. I found the G&O template for my role online. Can I directly upload these on the system? A. No, please discuss with your manager first before uploading the G&Os. He/she might also want to discuss certain developmental objectives with you. 8. Suppose my role changes later on in the year. Can I add my new Goals & Objectives to the existing ones? A. Yes, you can keep adding Goals and Objectives throughout the year, even after the G&Os you have submitted have been approved. 9. My G&Os have been approved already, but I need to make a few changes. Can I do this now? A: If there is a significant change in your G&Os, you can edit your G&Os with an approval from your manager. Your HR manager will be able to help you on that. 10. The approval workflow shown on myWipro is incorrect. How do I get it changed? A: You can raise a service connect under G&O workflow changes category. You can also reach out to your HR manager for any clarification on the workflow 11. Last year, an ILP objective was automatically added to my G&Os. Will this be there again this year? A. Yes, this will again be there this year, as long as your supervisor has created an Individual Learning Plan for you. However, you dont need to add ILP as an objective. It will be automatically added by the system at the end of the year. 12. My reportee has submitted G&Os for the year. But I want some changes in one of the objectives. Do I need to revert all objectives to her?
A. No, you have the option to revert only the objective that needs to be edited.
