Why exists and what is the, so called, Colonialism? The column of my opinion Ever you ever thought why does the Man, always wants to rule everything he thinks he is entitled to rule? Take the Portuguese appropriation of some of African and South American land for example, we took them from their homes, and make them obey us. In the way, we destroyed and hurt heartlessly a formed and established society that was there before. I know that the humankind has a urge of wanting more, to conquer and pursuit more land more everything, that makes part of us, we have examples of that along the course of World History. One that is filled of conquer and slavery, the ruling over others, forgetting that this isnt right. What is colonialism, but a excuse to make people slaves? Was there a colonization without violence and intents of erase the former culture? The answer is none. If you look up in dictionaries the word Colonialism, it often says something like this:
Colonialism:: noun; the practice of acquiring control over another country, occupying it with settlers, and exploiting it economically.
Taken of the Oxford online dictionary

Colonialism is the extension of a nations sovereignty over territory beyond its borders by the establishment of either settler or exploitation colonies in which indigenous populations are directly ruled, displaced, or exterminated. Colonizing nations generally dominate the resources, labor, and markets of the colonial territory, and may also impose socio-cultural, religious, and linguistic structures on the indigenous population (see also cultural imperialism). It is essentially a system of direct political, economic, and cultural intervention and hegemony by a powerful country in a weaker one. Though the word colonialism is often used interchangeably with imperialism, the latter is sometimes used more broadly as it covers control exercised informally (via influence) as well as formal military control or economic leverage.

Like is said above, the territory that is being held prisoner is more weak than the other and this is a fact, but is it right? What about the people that are being held against their will? They kill themselves working, with no liberty, poorly paid or with no pay at all. You can answer with another question like one of my friends did : What about the money and the culture that we earned and give? Did you think that our economy would be so strong than if we didnt have the colonies? Well, I can not deny that this simple fact is true, but if you think that fact makes this abominable action a valid one, that all I can think is that you never been without liberty and conditions for a proper living. Ho thats right, I almost forgot, you are also, blind and dumb! We could, and Im not approving that action, given them better conditions and liberty of choice, that is the fundamental to every human being. I know that our chests were full of the recipes of coffee and other crops, that this was important to revitalize the power of our economy, but I also know that it was wrong and a heartless action towards a civilization with morals and values of their own. This abuse of power isnt thing of the past, and the worst of all is that we let them do this, its always the same thing, the urge of wanting more money more lands more power, take us , so called 1 st. power societies to input on others our will, our moral, our values and our rules. What is that but a ideology or a set of beliefs used to legitimize or promote this system. Colonialism was often based on the ethnocentric belief that the morals and values of the colonizer were superior to those of the colonized; some observers link such beliefs to racism and pseudo-scientific theories. In the western world, this led to a form of proto-social Darwinism that placed white people at the top of the animal kingdom, "naturally" in charge of dominating non-European aboriginal populations. is so poor that is not enough to take the hunger that you are felling. The money that you earn is not enough to keep your family healthy , and dont even thing about protesting or running away because they will catch you and punishing you as an example to others. The people who slaved you dont respect you or your believes, too the you are a machine without feelings or brains. The act of colonization is changed instead of appropriating the land and the people that live there they now destroy everything that rise in the way with powerful fire arms. If after what we see in the word you still agree with this abuse of power so cold and heartless called colonialism , I guess you should continue with your life and dont worry about a thing, after all until it reach you or your family and friends you dont need to worry. You dont know them and this is happening every day The colonialism, is now a days better disguised, by the politic, religious and moral issues, but its the same thing , a search of power and destruction of people and other cultures. Its nothing else but a imposition of a society to another that has the same right has the first. I leave here a call to al that know what Im talking about, but mostly to the ones that dont know . Research and look up the news, we most understand what is happening to do the things right, just because it dont affect you doesnt mean that isnt important.
