Welcome to the Newbie 411 CPA Marketing Guide. The original Newbie 411 guide was launched on the 11th of January 2012. The reason the guide was written was due to the amount of requests I was receiving to explain the basics of CPA marketing. I would get 100s of people asking each month on the CPAFix forum and via other means of communication. So I decided to put everything I know and have learnt on my journey into an easy to follow, straight to the point no nonsense guide and give it out for free as an incentive to be apart of my project. I never dreamt the amount of success it would receive. Within a month it was shared on just about every decent marketing forum and website online. To this date the book has accumulated over 50000 downloads and so many more views. I decided to re write the book as the rst edition wasnt as complete as I had wanted and I am always looking to improve my work. After progressing CPAFix i was able to gain some amazing offers and specials for the use of this book. Companies have been approaching me and asking to be featured in the book, so it made prefect sense to start from scratch and write something even better, packed with better qualities. Everything I put in this guide is 100% honest and tested. I do not pretend to be some super afliate, and if you are then this guide is probably not the one for you. Im simply sharing everything i know and have learnt in the hope it will help more and more people understand this amazing industry. CPAFix.com is the evolutionary Afliate Marketing project bought to you by my company Okenyon Webs. I rst established CPAFix in May 2011, and it was originally an exclusive forum for me and a few afliates I had worked with over on CPALead. I liked the idea of a central exclusive ground, where by members could brain storm and discuss money making ideas together under a safe and professional watch. After inviting several of my close colleagues, and a few industry contacts I was soon faced with constant requests to open up registration to the forum. It was then that I realized the huge gap in this industry for a project of this kind. There truly wasn't a welcoming and useful resource for afliate marketers and specically CPA marketing online. This is when I thought how far I could actually take this project and started thinking long term. Although we started originally as a forum, me and my team are working hard everyday to create so much more, introducing revolutionary and original new features as the website grows. On the 22nd of May 2012 we underwent a major transformation after researching our member base and asking them exactly what theyd like to see on the site. We introduced some major changes not only visibly but also adding more and more resources and extras to the site. The relaunch enabled us to broaden the site and leaves us with multiple channels to grow and expand into. It was a huge success and we saw the registration rate quadruple overnight. I passionately stand by everything I have done and im pushing to achieve on this project.Im very proud of how far we have come so far. I am dedicated to evolving CPAFix for the good of this industry and stand strong when saying I never wish to rip of and make money from my members like most of these so called internet forums do. Rather I envision making money WITH my members and showing them how they can achieve this, I believe this is a much more powerful product and one that benets everyone in the industry. I started my professional working life as a Chef having achieved distinction at catering college in Stratford, England. Working in a local restaurant from a very young age helped me to achieve this in only one year. The restaurant was like a family to me and I have a lot to thank them for. Whilst cooking I used most of my spare time surng the internet and was very active on music forums in the early 2000s. From networking I was introduced to vBulletin forum software, and was fascinated with owning my own site, so I set up my rst ever online project, a music forum. After initial success I ran up a portfolio of about 4-5 vBulletin forums ranging from music to cooking. Naturally i was thinking of ways in which to monetize them and was introduced to CPA via an online friend who showed me a network called CPALead. From that day on I never looked back. I came up with a method to monetize my forums by offering members an exclusive VIP membership package in exchange for them lling out a few incentive CPA offers. After my rst week executing the method I made just over $100 and I was instantly hooked. Several websites and projects later I became obsessed with afliate marketing and after some initial success along side starting my own company Okenyon Webs which is the founding company of CPAFix. This enabled me to leave my chef job and concentrate on what i love doing. Running my company full time and cementing my position as an online entrepreneur. I am fully aware that I still have so much to achieve and learn but im very eager and 100% committed to my future. A lot of people in the industry say they have never seen anyone working as hard as me. Although that may be true I havent achieved anything like what I want to yet. CPAFix is my baby and i am ready to put everything i have into the project and will not rest until we are the number one Afliate Marketing website on the net. I will again state that I never claim to be a super rich afliate marketer, however I do make a decent living online via CPA marketing and Okenyon Webs. This guide caters to beginners and intermediates and I STRONGLY advise you to test all these methods rst before moving onto bigger and more uctuated platforms. I also strongly suggest you take full advantage of all the Specials I have worked hard to provide you guys with. I only wish I had these sort of opportunities when I was learning. 5

CPA or Cost Per Action marketing is an online advertising model where by the advertiser pays for a specied action. The action is carried out by the everyday user who is viewing or has been sent to the advertisement. Typically speaking the advertisers will only pay when the action of their choice has been fullled, hence the popularity of CPA by direct response advertisers. The action itself can vastly vary, depending on what the advertiser is trying to gather. Usually it will be some sort of data, for example email or zip addresses or a purchase of a product. Sales and registrations are the most common actions within the model but not the only ones. These advertisements or forms are better known as offers within the industry. Its up to us, the afliates, to get trafc (ow of people on the internet), to the offer. Once an offer is fullled and the Action achieved it is commonly known as a conversion and you will be paid your commission upon the offer converting. Offers can also vastly vary in niche, and you can pretty much nd offers about anything. CPA marketers have many options on how to gain offers but the most common and easiest practice is to apply for a CPA network. The networks deal directly with the advertisers and therefore can provide multiple offers within multiple niches for you to apply for and promote. The networks are free to join but they take a percent of the payout from the advertisers based on the conversions, typically ranging between 10-30%. Networks commissions can vary. For example if an advertiser contacts a network offering them $3 per conversion on an offer, the network will then adjust your payout per action on the offer to $2.40. Therefore every time you achieve a conversion you will be paid $2.40 and the networks $0.60 for providing you the offer. This typically explains the direct root of payment and process from an advertiser to the afliate (you) getting paid. However once more advanced in afliate marketing you do have the option of cutting out the network and going direct to the advertiser to strike up a better deal. CPA Marketing is all about numbers and you are deemed successful on your protability. If you have a positive ROI (return on investment), then you are protable.

Without being accepted by a CPA or Afliate network you will struggle to make money with CPA. This is simply because the CPA network acts as a middle man for you, providing you with the offers and supporting you with the tools and advice on how to promote them. If you don't have access to promote offers, then it is impossible to generate conversions and there fore impossible to make money. There are literally 100s of networks available to apply for and they all offer different incentives to earn with them. Its kind of like a big game of we can make you rich between the networks as they all battle it out to achieve their main goal, you making money via their offers and network. This is a good thing for afliates as they will always be competitive and offer multiple things to try and persuade you to work with them, ranging from higher paying offers (them taking a lower % on the conversions), to gifts and rewards if you hit a certain amount of conversions. For example some networks will send out electronic products or even take you on holiday if you earn over a certain gure a month. This is why the industry is such a fantastic and vibrant one if you can get it right. Also some networks may specialize in specic types of offers or types of trafc. For example some networks cater for incentive trafc only. Meaning they provide offers for trafc that is specically sent to the offer to ll it out in order to get something else in return. For instance i may offer a service online but only allow people to use it after they have lled out an incentive offer. Also networks can be niche specic - for example they may focus on a type of offer like dating, therefore 90% of the offers they provide will be about the dating niche. There are many well established networks that are great to work with, however it is very easy to set up a simple afliate network so you have to be careful joining the so called y by night ones and make sure the network you apply to comes with decent recommendations. Getting accepted or applying to a CPA or Afliate network often gets branded as a momentous and daunting task, especially to newcomers in the industry. Well im here to tell you thats a load of rubbish and whatever you have been told isnt true! You have to look at it like this: the networks only earn money if you earn money, so why wouldnt they want you on their network? The key to applying to a network is knowing where you stand. If you apply to an established, exclusive network and get denied when you cant answer all their experienced questions then you only have yourself to blame. You have to be patient and apply for networks that are newbie friendly and welcoming. There seems to be multiple myths around that hold people back from applying to networks and i am telling you now all the below are false and untrue. xI can't get approved because i don't have a website. xI can't get approved because i don't have a phone number. xI can't get approved because my English is poor. xI can't get approved because I'm new to CPA. The main reason networks take applications and process you before they accept you and allow you access to their network is down to fraudsters. Fraudulent trafc can destroy the biggest afliate networks in hours. So its no wonder they put you through an application. They also want to make sure you know a little bit about the industry and how to promote offers which is fair. I mean you wouldt expect a normal job to pay you wages without at least an interview, would you? Im not going to tell you how or what you should answer the common network questions with because that defeats the object of you applying and being serious about CPA marketing. All i will say is be condent. If you dont hear from them within a couple of days, pick up the phone and give them a call. Make sure you sound interested and ask them plenty of questions as well as answering their questions to your best ability. With the above being said im going to share with you what i see as being the most important steps to getting approved by a network on the next page. If youre truly serious about making money online and via CPA marketing then you wont hesitate putting the below into practice. The main point is to do some research and be 100% honest with the networks.

Know your role. By this i mean you must know where you stand. If you were starting a new career in football coaching you would be a fool to approach the top clubs and ask for the top jobs straight away. The same rule applies you here - have a much better chance being accepted by the lower league clubs, where by you can gain the experience you need to shoot for the top. Its exactly the same in afliate marketing, there is no point what so ever applying for the best and exclusive networks because you'd be wasting their time, instead shoot for the newbie friendly networks and learn your trade. Get serious. This industry could change your life so its about time you got serious about it. Upon applying to a network you may be required to give an email address and website. So i strongly advise you to register a nice domain (something professional) and install a simple Wordpress blog, even if it serves only to record your afliate marketing journey. Make sure the domain name is either your name, or a company name. For example i use MYNAME@okenyonwebs.com when applying to networks with my company name in the domain. This looks 1000x more legit than using your old @hotmail address you registered 10 years ago when you thought you were a gangsta rapper. You get my point. Even if you just get the domain name for email purposes it shows you've put in some effort and are serious about getting accepted. Do some homework. I strongly suggest reading this guide several times before you even think about applying for a network, most networks dont care that you're not yet making millions but they do care that you have a simple understanding of the industry. Take some time to really understand the mechanics of the industry and how the model works. Also try to learn the terms and phrases often used in the marketing world. They are not expecting you to know everything but a basic understanding is a must in my opinion. Be 100% honest and transparent. Possibly the best piece of advice i can offer you is, to be 100% honest a transparent. The chances are the network whom youre applying to have been doing this for years, so if you start pretending to be someone or something you're not, they will nd out the truth. If you're new to CPA marketing, tell them! Say you are eager to learn and after reading this guide wish to put some of the methods into practice with their help.

Once accepted into a network your afliate manager is the rst person you should be contacting. For various reason this individual will become your best friend in your afliate world in the weeks that follow. Most importantly if you make money, they make money! You should easily be able to nd their contact details either on the CPA networks dashboard upon login or the welcome email sent to you upon acceptance. I would advice getting in contact with them straight away and introducing yourself and outlaying your goals. I tend to look at afliate managers like your high school teacher, for example your football coach may not have played football at a high standard but he knows how to give you the right coaching to give you a chance. Likewise your afliate manager may not be the best afliate, but they have the knowledge and tools to guide you to be successful, you just have to use it. I have personally worked with some of the best afliate managers in the industry who have never ran a single campaign in their lives, yet they know how to get the best out of their publishers using the skills, knowledge and tools provided. They also have access to every campaign on the network so you need to treat them as a partner, as they can unlock multiple doors and questions, for example, Tax and Payments. They will guide you on how to ll out the correct Tax documentation and set up the correct payment processes you need to be paid. Also they can control when you get paid. Payout Bumps. If you are converting a specic offer on a large scale, you can contact your afliate manager and request a pay bump on the offer. Meaning a higher payout per conversion. Recommended Offers. You can openly discuss the networks best performing offer across the platform. Trafc Sources. If you plan to run an offer you can ask your afliate manager what source they recommend. Improved R.O.I Afliate managers hold the key to making your campaigns more protable via some well known tweaks to your campaign. Contact them for help improving your ROI. 13

Landing Pages Landing pages also known as lead capture pages, are single pages that appear in response to clicking an advertisement link. The main reason behind a landing page is to capture the lead of your user. This is done by pre selling your product or offer. Most of the time not enough information will t on your banner or text advertisement. Therefore the use of a landing page is to really promote and inform your user of the product before they are asked to take any action.

This is a simple landing page example i made using the CPAFix landing page generator. The most important factor is to entice your user and make the offer look appealing. Including images and simple but effective graphics helps the transition. You must also include a very strong call to action normally in the form of a big clear button. You can also look into inserting opt in forms and lead funnels when using a landing page. Direct Linking Direct linking in its simplest of terms means directly linking your to your afliate offer straight from the advertisement. When you direct link you bypass any landing page and send the user straight to the offer page. When to use either In all honesty there is no right or wrong its merely up to testing out both solution and seeing what ts your campaign. I would always advice to test with both direct linking and landing page. More often than not landing pages are used with higher paying offers. Although adding a landing page can also mean just another unnecessary step a user has to take to get to the all important offer page. 16

Content Locking Content locking is a method of CPA marketing where by you lock the content of a site with content locking widget. This then freezes out the opacity of the webpage to the user and asks them to ll out an offer on the widget in order to proceed with viewing the content. The widget is normally customized within the CPA networks dashboard and you should have full control over appearance and what offers are shown. Below is a perfect example of a content locking widget.

Incentive Offers Nearly all offers on a content locking widget will be incentive offers. This is because a user is being asked to ll out the offer in order to get something in return. Content locking can be used on most incentive sites in order for the owner to gain revenue in exchange for something the consumer may want. When to use Content Locking You can mix content locking with any trafc source but more commonly than not it is used with SEO. Always look out for website on sale where they are offering a service for free. As you may be able to easily monetize the website with a content lock. For example a lot of sites offer free viewings of videos and movies. These sites are easily monetized by content locking the videos and only playing once a consumer has unlocked to lock by lling out and offer. The possibilities are endless. 17

Case Studies are analyses of a persons, actions, events, decisions and ongoing progress within a specic case. They are used as a research strategy to outlay the details and process of a users actions. Case studies are one of the most helpful strategies in afliate marketing. A user can create a study outlining their methods, budget, trafc source and goals and receive help and feedback to improve their results. The CPAFix team has divulged a useful case study prex or button you can attach to any thread you create on the forums. Once selected your newly created thread will be assigned the Case study prex and will be obvious to others that you are searching for advice. We STRONGLY advice you to create a case study for every new method you try. We are lucky enough to have some amazing members on the forums who prowl the threads daily and are waiting to help people make money. I would advice you not to give everything away in your study as others may poach your campaign. What i mean by this is give away enough that we can follow and give advice but not enough for people to copy your exact method and campaign. Niches and platforms are ne, keywords and exact offers are not. Just be careful not to give everything away if you are making money there are always people who want to pinch your campaigns. However if you create a case study the right way it is a sure way of seeing success a lot quicker and for less money. 18

STOP! Im asking you a question and im asking it for a reason! Are YOU ready? - This is the most important part of the guide. If youre new to CPA marketing and have not yet read the above, DO NOT read on! If you have read all the above, read it again. Until everything before this page has sunk in and has been digested. You may hear people talk about state of mind, and there is nothing in the industry more important to you. If you dont have a positive mind state, you will not be successful. The CPA marketing industry is a big game of who dares wins and without being involved you cannot win. What im trying to get across to you, is you have to rst do your homework and then jump in and take action. Taking action doesnt necessarily mean pouring a big budget into a large platform and losing it within days. Weather its a free trafc source or a paid one, just make sure you pick something that interests you and stick to it until you make it work! If you dabble in every method below you will NOT make money. You must pick one or two and stick with it through thick and thin until it clicks. In the beginning you will 99% LOSE money in every method you try. However you must look at it not as losing money, but as gaining experience and knowledge. If your the type of person who gets worried over losing money then i suggest you go back to your day job, because quite frankly it takes hard work, money and determination to succeed in marketing. It also doesn't come quickly. No matter how many WSO youve been foolish enough to purchase or promises of $1000 days within hours, you have to block all that nonsense out and concentrate on your goals. All the following methods have been tried and tested by myself and my team. I am not promising you will be protable but i am providing you with everything you need to be! I strongly advice using the less costly and free methods until you build up a budget and get a real feeling for the industry. What is SEO? SEO, Search Engine Optimism is the process of improving a websites visibility in a search engines search results. Typically the higher up the rankings a website is shown on a search engine, the more trafc it will receive. This is called natural trafc as you aren't directly paying the search engine to promote or show your website in its results. SEO isn't limited to text search as you can target images, videos, local search and more. SEO also stands for Search Engine Optimization which is the main factor of SEO marketing. This means optimizing ones site for the purpose of exposure and benecial rankings. There is no set formula that denes how well a site is ranked and search engines are forever changing and evolving. Although there are many proven methods in which we can vastly improve a websites exposure and in return gain more trafc. SEO takes place with white and black hat methods, and is all about results. If you are lucky enough to master your SEO and ranking methods then there really is no limit to what you can achieve through multiple sites and niches. The Method This method is all about setting up affordable and efcient Wordpress blogs. I will show you how you can easily install Wordpress and customize it for your SEO and CPA trafc. Wordpress blogs are 100% free and one of the most optimized pieces of kit on the market. I will show you how to pick the right niche and nd relevant keywords for your trafc. We will be writing keyword rich content and therefore receiving trafc naturally via ranking our site with google. We will monetize the blog posts on our Wordpress blog with CPA offers relevant to our niche and content. Outcome If SEO is done right it is the most self rewarding method of CPA marketing. If you are patient, like problem solving, testing formulas and results, this is the method for you. Although the results may be initially slow, with little nical input you can easily bring in enough free trafc to make a steady income.

Picking a Niche I would highly suggest picking a niche you are interested in. You will be required to write a lot of unique content so it helps if its something you are passionate about. To nd niches i tend to think of something broad that can be adaptable. By this i mean not limiting myself to one product or specic per niche. However micro niche sites do work. First head on over to the CPAFix offer search and take a look through the kinds of offers available to you. Likewise open your offers tab on your afliate networks login panel. Try to think of things you enjoy, maybe a hobby or something that interests you. Then have a look/search through some offers you think would work along side your topic. For example its no secret to my followers that i LOVE football, and more importantly passionately support and follow Liverpool FC. Therefore writing about Liverpool would be a pleasure and ease to me. I then need to think if its logical to use Liverpool FC as my niche. Is there a decent amount of offers to run along side them? Think about your target audience. Stereotypicalising the average football fan as a male who loves football, beer and betting. I know from my research there are 100s of betting offers available so its clear this niche can work. I have found my niche! Picking a Domain and Hosting it When it comes to registering a domain you need to follow two rules, ! ! .com only Keyword rich

Others may disagree but i strongly believe these two rules deliver the best results. So make sure your domain is a .com and make sure it has your niche keywords within the domain. For example i would make sure LiverpoolFC was somewhere within my domain. Once you select your chosen domain and proceed with check out, your hosting account is automatically set up for you and you will be online ready to install Wordpress. 22

Install Wordpress Blog Once you have registered your domain and hosting account with HostGator. Check you email inbox for your welcome email from your hosting provider. Locate your cPanel login details and proceed to login. Once you are logged into the cPanel, nd and select the option fantastico. Fantasico is clever little script that automates the installation of website applications. In this case we are going to select ! Wordpress > New Installation.

Proceed with the manual install.Once all elds are complete click the nish installation button and your blog is ready to go. If having issues simply le a ticket and the HostGator team will install the blog for you free of charge. Style and Congure your blog Your newly installed Wordpress theme will be given the default style so you may wish to give it a personal makeover. Login to your Wordpress admin panel and go to ! ! Appearance > Themes > Install Themes > Select Theme > Install > Install Now > Activate

Your new Wordpress blog will now have a nice custom look and feel to it. Now you will need to add some categories. Not only do these help organize your posts but they can be very benecial for SEO purposes. Make sure you include keywords within each categories, for example i would use, LiverpoolFC News, LiverpoolFC Transfers. ! Posts > Categories > Add New Category

Add relevant keyword rich categories to your new blog. I also advice installing these few essential Wordpress SEO plugins, Yoast SEO | All in One SEO | Google XML Sitemaps | YARPP | GAFW Simply download the above and goto the following on your Wordpress admin panel, ! Plugins > Add New > Browse and Select > Install Now > Activate Plugin 23

Creating and Posting Content So by now i am assuming you have a keyword rich domain with Wordpress installed, styled and congured. Make sure you also congure your meta tag details to relevant options. Next we need to add some content and this is going to be our most important step. The content MUST be original, unique and keyword rich. This is why i strongly suggest you selecting a niche that interests you as you will enjoy writing the content. Finding Keywords for your post titles Finding keywords for your posts titles can be a long and tedious process but you will soon get the hang of it. Like always its best to nd longer tailed keywords with a good amount of trafc and little competition on google search. This is the way i would go about nding keywords for my Liverpool FC posts, ! Google Keyword tool > Search word or phrase > Liverpool FC

Now i want to nd longer tailed keywords with high enough search volume but low enough competition on google. The way i generally do this is to pick a keyword that has between 2,000 and 40,000 monthly searches with a low search result on google. By this i mean copying the keyword into google search and noting the number of results shown below the search bar. If a term has less than 1million results its good to use. For example by searching the term Liverpool FC I've found a nice keyword,

This tells me although the term gets a nice volume of searches the competition on google isnt enough to scare me away from using it. I have now found my rst keyword to target. 24

Finding Keywords and writing your posts So now we have our post title keyword we need to nd more relevant keywords to include in our content of our post. This can easily be achieved from simply searching on Google with our title keyword and noting down some regularly occurring keywords on the rst few page results. Another way is to search the title term on Google and select one by one the top 10 websites URLs that are shown on the rst page results. Then simply paste these URLs into Googles Keyword Tool but under the Website eld. This will then spit out a number of relevant keywords the URL is ranking for. Select anywhere between 3-10 keywords per post. Now that you have your keywords format an interesting and unique post about your niche. Include all of the keywords and even repeat the title within your content. Make your content original and engaging and format the keywords in different ways each time you type them. Make sure you add every keyword as a tag before you click publish. Monetize your posts and blog with CPA We talked earlier about picking a niche that can be adaptable for offers, a good example with my niche would be to write a post about the latest Liverpool FC transfer target and to show a banner at the end of the post saying Player to Transfer to Liverpool - 2/1 - BETNOW I would then make a link and or banner saying Bet Now < this would have my referral link, direct linking to an offer page for football betting. Each time a user signs up i would be paid! Alternatively there are so many ways you can monetize blogs, including, reviews of clickbank products, reviews of CPA offers (Review betting site for example), creatives and banners etc. Getting Backlinks Another important part of gaining rankings for this method is by getting natural backlinks to your posts. You can also outsource backlink building, and its very affordable on site like oDesk. Also your installed plugins will take care of formatting your posts correctly. Tracking Be sure to install Google Analytics on your blog and track the natural trafc. It WILL take a few weeks for you to rank but playing around with methods and formats and adding some backlinks will speed up the process. They generally set a bid on relative keywords that are searched via PPC search engines. The advertiser with the highest bid is then placed in the highest position on the rankings. Unlike SEO this is an instant solution to appear on top of search engines for specic keywords. Although its not always keywords and search engines people are bidding on. Large PPC platforms either have their own search engines for example google adwords, or have users opted in via plugins or other downloads to output advertisers sites when they search via a toolbar or something similar. Advertiser determine prot on a CPC (cost per click) basis in relation to their conversions. The Method In this method i am going to show you how to set up your rst PPC campaign within a short space of time. I am then going to show you how you can further optimize the campaign to make it protable. I will be using 7Search PPC platform, i fully admit they are not the best PPC platform on the internet but are by far the most affordable and newbie friendly with great support. You just have to make sure it has a high search volume on 7Search. I tend to stick by the rule of nding offers that have relevant keywords with searches in their high xxx and top bids $0.08 or less. Meaning you will be paying $0.08 or less per click. Finding Keywords The easiest way to nd your keywords on 7Search is by using the Keyword Suggestion tool. Simply type and search relevant terms according to your offer. The tool will then churn up large lists of related search terms with estimated stats and CPC information. Take some time to search through different terms and note down 50-100 keywords with high volume searches but a low top bid. Try not to select any keyword with bids over $0.08 as the trafc may become to expensive for your type of offer. You can also use Googles keyword tool to nd relevant keywords, simply repeat the above process on Google and note down any high volume but low competition keywords. Also take a look at the Ubersuggest tool Make a list and save it in a in Excel or as a .CSV le. 28

Creating your rst Campaign So you now have an offer, and some relevant keywords within an Excel or .CSV le. Go ahead and login to your 7Search account and go, ! Campaigns > Create Campaign

You will now be faced with the 7Search campaign creator screen. I will show you a picture of how you should ll out your rst campaign elds and then explain in details afterwards.

Tracking your afliate link Single handily the most important step of this process is to track your campaign! Without tracking this is purely lost data and this game is all about gathering data. There are several different levels of tracking but to start with at least make sure you are tracking the Sub ids on 7Search and placing a postback pixel on your network to view converting Ids. Most networks should have this function available however the sub id variables differ each time. So simply jump on your afliate networks dashboard and get in contact with your afliate manager asking them to help you set up Sub id tracking for your 7Seach Campaign. Once you have the correct link set up input it into your campaign Default Destination Url.

Campaign Name Give your campaign a nice and simple name that is relevant to your offer for ease of nding it. Default Ad Title 7Search are a lot more lenient when it comes to use of words and language in your ad copy. Typically speaking their team approves most text, just make sure its compliant with the advertiser. In your ad title you want to keep it short but catchy, and have am strong call to action (a reason for them to click). Dont forget 9 times out of 10 you are competing with others For example if your are promoting a BBW Dating offer select a title along the lines of, ! BBW Ready to irt | Click now for FREE chat

Default Ad Description Here you want to be to the point and describe exactly what you are offering, try to glam it up as much as possible and really explain in short what they are missing out on. At the end of the description i always add a scare tactic. This means a bit of text that makes the user think hey need to click the link before its to late, again on the BBW dating theme and example would be, Over 100 single BBW girls ready to irt and meet up in your area (Limited Accounts) Display URL Here you need to place a URL that is related to your offer, most of the time you can use the short hand version of your afliate link. For example if my offer was a dating site called BBWDating.com then use that as your display URL. Default Destination URL This is where you place your tracking/offer link from your network dashboard, read above. Website Category Simply select the category that most suits your offer. Daily Budget I suggest running a budget of $15 a day to test your campaign before altering the volume. Target Your Customer Check your offer to see in which countries it converts and only select those corresponding. 30

Adding Keywords Once you click Create Campaign, you are taken to the keyword adding phase. On the top left you will see a link to upload your previously saved keywords, !
Upload an Excel or CSV file, > Choose file > Select Excel file > Upload

Once uploaded add your keywords by click the green + button . For now you can keep the Starting Bid $0.05 then click Next. Alternatively add the keywords manually by searching with the provided stats. Confirm the keywords and then proceed to click the link, manage keyword bids. Make sure you add a postback URL to your affiliate network offer panel for tracking. Bidding on Keywords To ensure you are the highest ranked bidder simply look across at the Top 3 Bids column and place a bid $0.01 higher than the current highest bid. Then hit Save Bids and 7SEARCH will refresh and tell you exactly where you rank on the search term. Within hours you will start to see clicks coming in via 7Search and your Afliate network. Blocking Sub IDs When a single keyword within your campaign reaches over 100 click you are entitled to enable the black listing sub ids feature on 7Search. Simply email support@7search.com and ask them to enable the blacklisting sub ids feature on your account. Once this has been activated head on over to your afliate network and check your Sub ID stats, you want to block those which are pulling in multiple clicks yet no conversions. I tend to wait for an ID to hit 100clicks with no conversions before blocking it. Grab the ID (Your afliate manager will help you with this), and login to your 7Search account, ! My Account > Preferences > Edit > Manage Sub ID blocks

Here you can enter the IDs to block trafc from. Importance of Testing and Scaling It is majorly important to test multiple keywords, ad copy, titles, and offers. Once you nd a winning formula try and up the daily budget and or take it onto a bigger PPC platform. 31

What is PPV? PPV or Pay Per View, also known as CPV (Cost Per View) is an online advertising model. With PPV the clue is in the title, you simply pay every time your website or landing page is viewed. An advertiser is given the freedom to target several sources including keywords and URLs. A bid is made and if you are the highest bidder on a specic target your webpage will be shown to the user. PPVs source is typically adware, meaning if a user installs a certain plugin or program they may opt in to being shown advertisements usually in the form of pop ups or pop under. Pop ups are windows that open in front of your current browser window where as pop under display underneath your current window. Advertisers determine prot based on their CPV (cost per view) in relation to conversions. The Method In this method i am going to show you how to create your very rst PPV campaign. I am going to walk you through the whole setting up process using the popular PPV platform Clicksor. I am going to use keyword targeting to gain maximum trafc with pop under ads. Clicksors platform is very newbie friendly and the support they offer is great. Also unlike other PPV platforms you only need to invest $20 to get a campaign up and running. Once again i strongly suggest you learn the basics of PPV marketing and tracking on Clicksor before diving head rst into the higher volume platforms. Again on the other hand you can lose a lot of money quick, so i strongly advice you to follow this guide and learn the basics before targeting and testing the bigger sh. Also the competition on such student keywords would be much less therefore resulting in a lower CPV. For example Student Loans. Start by contacting your afliate manager and asking them which offer are converting best, targeting keywords with PPV trafc. Then make a sensible judgement on which one to use based on a unique angle of promotion. Finding Keywords The easiest way to nd your keywords on Clicksor is by using the Keyword Suggestion tool. This is accessible on the second page once youve selected which campaign to create. Simply enter some keywords that you think your audience may be connected with and take a scroll through the list. Try to pick keywords with lots of impressions but again those that are not so obvious that the competition is to high. Try to select between 10 and 30 keywords to start with if your working on a small budget. You can also use Googles keyword tool to nd relevant keywords, simply repeat the above process on Google and note down any high volume but low competition keywords. 34

Creating your rst Campaign So you now have an offer, and some relevant keywords. Go ahead and login to your Clicksor account and go, ! Campaigns > Create New Campaign

Here is how your Campaign should look for PPV trafc before selecting Next.

Targeting Type Select Contextual Targeting. Campaign Name Name your campaign something related to your offer for ease. Campaign Type Select CPV - Full Page Pop-Under Ad from the drop down. Supported Banner Type Make sure the radio button is selected Advertising URL This is the URL in which your the user will see as a pop under. Make sure you add tracking to your link or landing page and enter the full URL here. Maximum Bid Price Keep this at the default bid price. ! Check Auto Optimization and All Networks > Next 35

Geo Targeting Next you will be faced with the Geo targeting option, this simply lets you target the country or area in which your offer converts in. For example if im promoting an offer that converts only in the US i would select, ! United States > Add >> > Target Countries

Be sure to include only the countries your offer converts in and then click Target countries. Select Keywords Here is where you can take full advantage of the Keyword suggestion tool, simply enter a few keywords on the left hand form and select the category your offer falls best into. ! Keyword Suggestion > Select Category > Enter Keyword > Get Suggestions

Or simply enter your keywords on the right hand form then click Add Selected Keywords. Biding on Keywords On the biding page you will be asked to bid on a price per view for your keywords. I strongly suggest trying to be the highest bidder as this will get you the best trafc possible. I would try to nd keywords with little competition but this isn't always possible so try not to pay over 0.0080 per view. You can select copy to copy your bids.

You can also select the option All Top Bid to automatically rank you bid higher than the rest. Alternatively you can contact your account manager and they will suggest some keywords for you based on your offer URL and their internal keyword search box. ! Click Save > Channel Targeting > Continue 36

Credit your Campaign Now that you have set up your campaign you are taken to a crediting page. It is entirely up to you how much you want to spend on your rst campaign but i would suggest pushing enough trafc to see some decent results. Enter a complete amount you wish to spend (this is not daily spend this is the total, you can edit this when and if needed). Select a low balance notication email amount. I always select my low transfer funds amount to $0 so i don't get unexpectedly stung when i cam testing offers and campaigns. Then click Transfer. Credit your campaign and enter the coupon code CB69506 for your added 5% bonus. Campaign Info Unique IP Cap The Unique IP cap is the break in which a user from the same IP will face until they are shown your pop under again if visiting a targeted keyword. I would set this to 24 hours. Daily Spend Limit This is the amount you wish to spend on a campaign when your testing it each day. Initially you will want to set a smaller budget whilst you gather your data and optimize the campaign. What is Media Buying? Media buying also known as display advertising is a method of purchasing banner ad space. You can buy ad space either directly from website or on specic media buying ad networks. Usually media is paid for on a CPM basis meaning cost per 1000 impressions. However when direct media buying from website owners a at rate can often be negotiated for an amount of time. For example you would pay x amount for a months display. Media buying often has far less restrictions than other trafc sources. Users can purchase RON (Run of network) media via larger display advertising platforms, and these sites can produce unlimited trafc. The Method I am going to talk you through direct media buying. This is the lowest risk media buying method as you can negotiate a price per month with the website owner so no surprises will occur. This will limit the risk of losing money fast, which is very possible when using a platform. I will show you which offers to pick and how to nd and target sites for your niche. You will be contacting website owners directly via results and data gathered using some amazing ad planning tools google and other companies provide for us. It is possible to start on a small budget and you can easily make some good prots early on if you nd the right sites. You ideally want to nd website that are not making the most out of their trafc. Outcome Direct media buying is one of my favorite CPA methods as you can nd some real gems that aren't taking full advantage of their trafc. It can require a small budget to get started but once you nd some nice placements you can try to lock them in for the foreseeable future. Finding the right Offer In media buying the offer isnt the most important thing, nding the right website to match the offer is. Start by contacting your afliate manager and asking them what offers are converting best with direct media buys. You want to pick an offer depending on your budget and how targeted you can afford to be. This means if you only have a small budget its a waste of time picking a long form payday loans offer if you cant afford to buy inventory on high trafc websites within this niche. Instead it would be more sensible to pick a submit offer that has a wider range of audience. Also try to pick and offer/niche that you are aware of the target demographics. By this i mean say we picked a Victoria secret email submit offer, we know this will appeal to men in a relationship (buying for their partner). Or mainly females aged over 25 with a steady income. This way we already have some data on the offer and nding a website will be easier. Finding Websites to suit your Offer Once we have a few offers in mind we want to nd some websites to directly contact to place our banners on. This step can be tricky if you dont know how but if you follow this formula you can easily nd several websites to contact. Google have provided us with some amazing tools that we can use in various ways to nd places to advertise on. Be sure to get a rough feel for your offers demographics and proceed. Google some Keywords The rst step is to make a list of 5-10 websites that are related to your offers audience. Go to google and search for terms that are related to your offer, for example if i was using the Victoria Secret offer i may google terms like, Victoria Secret, Victoria Secret gift cards, Victoria Secret coupons, Victoria Secret sales etc. What you need to do is select 5-10 of the rst page URLs that show on your results pages. Pick the domains that reoccur for various keyword searches and note them down. These URLs are going to give you the information and data you need to nd website you can contact directly for display ad space.

Google Ad Planner Head on over to Google Ad Planner, this is an amazing demographical ad planning tool that google have provided for us. You can easily nd websites that are related to your offer and check the demographics and trafc matches. Take your list of domains and start entering them one by one into the ad planner Search by Site eld under the Research tab. Make sure you select the country your offer converts in on the View data for drop down. Not only will this tool show you if your demographics t the searched website but it will also output other visited websites by users visiting your searched URLs.

Again note down the sites that are reoccurring. You should now have a list of 10-30 suitable sites that are relevant to your offer. Using Quantcast to nd Websites Another method of nding relative websites to contact is by using an amazing media tool called Quantcast. The Quantcast ad planner enables you to search specic demographics in order to output sites that these have visited. Combining the two tools you can gather demographics from the Google ad planner and then enter them into the Quancast tool. Make sure you alter the Reach drop downs so you can target sites within your budget. Again list a good number of sites that are shown ready to contact. Try to nd sites with Adsense banners, this means they are monetizing already but only through one source. Contacting Website Owners So you now should have a list of websites related and targeted to your offer/niche. You now need to contact the website owners and strike up a deal to advertise on their site. This can be done via multiple ways but the easiest way is to see if they have a Contact us or Advertise page on the navigation or footer. If they don't, another way is to see if they have a contact email address listed on the Who is. Head on over to Whois.com and search for the website URL, look for the email address. Once you have an email address or contact form, its time to message them. What you should write The rst thing you want to do is obtain contact with the owner, and then get down to business. Let them know your are interested in purchasing inventory on their site and ask them to respond if interested. The reason you select 10-30 URLs is because not everyone will reply and or have advertisement space available. This is the kind of email you will want to send. ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! What to look for I would strongly encourage you to only buy ad spots that appear above the fold, this means when the page loads they are in display. This is because these are the 9 times out of 10 the best spots on the website. Its entirely up to your which model you pay for the banners, the website owner will state whats available. You may end up paying CPM but i personally prefer to buy at a at rate per month so i know where i stand each month. Also you can then negotiate for one time payments. Trial Periods No matter what deal you are offered ALWAYS negotiate a trial period. By this i mean negotiate a cheaper period to test the trafc before you commit to something longer term. Typically speaking negotiate a cheaper one months trail as this give you long enough to track the data and see if you can make a prot. Negotiate a Price No matter what price you are offered or how cheap it may look, ALWAYS try to get it cheaper. After your trial period enquire into bulk purchasing, meaning if you pay for 6 months at a time will you get it cheaper etc. Never settle fro the price they give you at rst without trying to lower it. Its all about margins and if you can lower the margin you are maximizing the prot. Optimize Optimizing is key to making a positive ROI. In your contract with the website owner make sure you have access or the ability to switch your creatives up. You need to test multiple banners, colors, text, calls to action etc and record the results. Also make sure you switch offers between different networks to work out which network is giving you the best EPC. You can literally test everything until you nd the best formula, sometimes a change so small can bring prots so big, Tracking Most importantly make sure you track your landing page or offer page. Contact your afliate manager for assistance. I can recommend Bevo Media or Prosper 202 as both are free and relatively easy to install. Tracking will give you the data to scale your campaigns and even move them over to bigger volume sources. What is Email Marketing? Email Marketing is the process of directly marketing a commercial message via email. Usually involving lists which are groups of email addresses legally gathered by various forms. There are a lot of emailing laws set out to reduce so called SPAM, and every contact on your list by law must have opted in. CAN-SPAM is the governing body of email marketing and they provide the rules. The term opt in means a user given consent to be attached to your list and therefore emailed. Almost half of the internet users check their email accounts everyday so you can see why email marketing is so protable. The Method In this method i am going to show you how you can start to build your own email lists using basic squeeze pages and free/paid email marketing tools. The best practice is to create a product or give something away for free in return for a user opting into your list. You have to use third party platforms to mass email and take full control of your lists. The most used email marketing tool and by far the best on the market is AWeber. Outcome Email marketing is very important to learn as you become a better all round afliate. This is because you can make the most out of auto responders and lead funnels to gain maximum revenue from all angles. If you already have large lists you can easily prot using this guide and build on your list. The one problem with email marketing is the law, you have to be very compliant and make sure your emails fall within the CAN SPAM regulations. Also sending mass emails can be costly if you are not seeing an instant return.

Building a List The most important and fundamental factor of email marketing, is the list. The old saying goes theres money in the list, and its pretty accurate. Although you can now buy or rent lists i am going to talk you through how you can easily capture your own lists. Once you have your lists you can then promote CPA offers to the opt ins. Although niche isnt overly important at this stage you may want to start thinking about what niche you wish to target. The beauty of Email marketing is as long as they are opted in on your list you can promote anything you wish within the laws to them. Create a Product As i mentioned above its time to start thinking about your niche. You are going to be creating or leasing/buying a product or service that people will want. The best and most common examples of this are things like eBooks, guides and tutorials. It doesnt overly matter what niche these products are in but may help in the long run with targeting. For example creating a guide book about a certain computer game may be a great idea, as the majority of demand will be from gamers. This is helpful as there are multiple gaming offers provided by CPA networks that allow email trafc. The most commonly used of its type is AWeber, and in my personal opinion there is no substitute for it. It is by far the most newbie friendly and easy to use email marketing tool on the market. You can easily set up custom opt in forms and easy follow up and auto respond emails. Another great thing is it doesnt matter how many emails you send out they purely charge on the size of your list. Building a Squeeze Page So by now im assuming you have a unique product to offer and have signed up with AWeber or some other email marketing platform. We now need to think how we can promote our product, the best and most common way is via something called a squeeze page. A squeeze page is a basic landing page designed to capture opt ins via email address submissions. The sole purpose is to promote your product in return for an opt in. The best example i can give you guys of this is a WSO thread.

Above you will see a basic squeeze page that i made in 2 minutes with little effort in Photoshop. The most important thing is to capture your user by listing the best features about the product. This in turn will make them want to download and opt in. You also need to create a STRONG call to action, meaning a big get it now or download type of button, clearly showing the user how to get the product. Opt-in Form So now you have your basic squeeze page installed you need to add an opt-in form. This is a form whereby a user will enter their email address therefore opting into your list. This is easily done with the AWeber platform. Simply login to your account and create a new campaign by clicking, ! Create A New List

Enter in all the relevant information and let the wizard talk you through the initial set up. Once you have entered in all the details it needs you will see the next step is to add your Web form to your site. This is basically the relevant code that will allow AWeber to pick up the inputed email address and other details you may want to capture. Easily set up a simple opt in form styled on your squeeze page design and input it into your page code. It is so easy to get the pre made forms and place them onto your simple page, you can even nd pre made pages online all you have to do is switch the IDs! Auto Responder and Follow ups These are quite simply the sequence of emails you write and set up, sent to a user when they input their email address on your form. You can easily set time and date delays between each email sent out. Its all about testing which emails work and convert but you dont want to hit them with offers straight away. Try sending them some relevant and interesting content on your niche that will benet them for free. Even when you include offers or products dont shove it in their faces, try to hint about offers etc amongst decent content. I would suggest testing between 4-10 emails in the sequence to see what works and converts. You can also send out Broadcasts which allow you email anything you wish to your whole list. Make sure your email complies with the CAN-SPAM laws here and always add the Unsubscribe link generated by your email marketing platform. You can also use the inbuilt SPAM lter on AWeber.

Driving Trafc So you now have a product, with a squeeze page, opt-in form and auto responder all set up. Once tested its time for some trafc. There are so many ways to push trafc to your squeeze page, some are free and some are paid. All the other trafc methods in this book are more than capable of sending you trafc. Try targeting people within your niche on popular forums or blogs. Leave your squeeze page link and advertise your product for FREE in a none spammy way. SEO can work wonders. Also you can try paying for trafc from methods like PPC, PPV and or media. It all works. Build up your list until you have a nice amount of opted in users. Manage your list You need to keep track of which emails and email addresses convert. This way you can easily separate people who convert to those who simply dont. Likewise you can separate those who open most of your mail to other who dont open any. If you add those who open and convert to a separate list you can prioritize that list as you know its going to convert more times than not. What offer work best? Depending on your niche/list, different offers will work better. Again lets say your list is within the gaming niche, try promoting some gaming offers to them. For example most networks have free game giveaway offers try include some in your emails, Hey, how are you? I just won a FREE copy of GAMEHERE, and thought you may also be interested as you downloaded my gaming guide. Get your copy OFFERCODEHERE Always comply with the in built spam lter. The email marketing platform will manage your opt-ins and opt-outs and will take care of the management of the lists for you. Hence why it makes more sense to use them. Make sure you take full advantage of their tracking systems also and gather as much data possible like in every method of CPA marketing.

What is Ofine Marketing? Ofine Marketing is a form of marketing something ofine instead of online. The traditional way of marketing before the online world erupted. Online businesses often market ofine to capitalize on other audiences and methods. Ofine methods include visual branding for example television, newspapers, yers etc. A lot of marketers will merge ofine marketing with online marketing tactics to get results. You have the freedom to be very creative ofine. The Method In this method we are going to use something i like to call scare tactics. The idea is playing on someones emotions in real life and almost scaring them from an ofine advert onto the online offer. The beauty of ofine is you can really target people so we will use this in the method. We will be printing some simple but eye catching yers to grab peoples attention. We will then send them back online to our landing pages or offer page. Outcome Out of all the trafc sources in this guide ofine is the most untapped and unique. It really gives you the freedom to try new ideas and be clever. So much can be done with ofine marketing and not many people have tapped into it yet. The downside is, it can be very hard to track ofine marketing and not many networks support it. This is due to them not being able to track the trafc or leads. However some do and when you get it right the ROI can be amazing. Supplies are very cheap and you can get a prot very quickly.

Finding the right offers For ofine marketing i would always pick higher paying offers. This is because the CTR of ofine marketing is far less than that of online. This is due to the fact you have to get the person your advertising to ofine, online in order to convert the offer. I tend to pick short forms offers converting at $15 or more. In this guide i will show you an example of what i like to call scare tactics. The idea is picking an offer you can scare people with. For example for the use of this guide i will pick a stop smoking offer. The scare factor comes in that smokers need to stop smoking or they may die! Offers similar will work, for example an alarm system offer would work, targeting elder people with no alarm system installed etc. Login to your afliate account and grab a medium paying offer that you can adapt to scare. Domain and Hosting Now we have our offer we need to set it up online. As we are marketing ofine we need to make the transition from online to ofine as smooth as possible. No one is going to enter a long afliate link they saw on a poster. So we need to get a short a eye catching domain for our offer. Take full advantage of our $0.01 a month hosting deal with HostGator here and register a domain that best ts your offer. We are going to really target our catchment area, by that i mean target a city or town. This way we can REALLY make it feel personal to people and this will make them read on. So for example i live in Bristol, so for my smoking offer i would register a domain like, www.stopsmokingbristol.co.uk Make sure your offer converts in the country with which your city resides in. You don't have to target cities but from past experiences you get much better results when you do. Register your domain and open your FTP client. 52

iFrame your offer Now we are going to iFrame your chosen offer on your registered domain. The reason we iFrame the offer is it will then appear on the root of are purchased domain. This will make it a lot easier for the user to nd the offer instead of giving a long afliate link.

Create some Flyers Now we have our domain and offer set up, its time to get some trafc to it. What we are going to do is create some simple, eye catching a scary yers. The most important things is to catch people attention, and to shock them. Mentioning a key stat about the City your in works wonders. Here is a prime example for the purpose of this guide.

Now you can understand what i mean by scare. You can outsource banner designs or knock them up yourself. Either way make it simple and to the point with a strong call to action. Also look into QR codes which will generate a mobile scanning image to take the user straight to your URL from their smart phone. Always make sure your offer is mobile compatible! Print your Flyers Now its time to print out your yers. Depending on your budget you can either outsource this to professional printing website or print some yourself. If you search around the net you can get some really cheap deals on printing. Either way get as many copies as your can printed ready to distribute. The better the quality the more professional and legit the whole thing will look. 54

Check with the Laws This step is very important because each country, state, city etc has different distribution laws on advertising yers etc. So always make sure you check with your local authorities that you are within the law to distribute your yers. I have personally never had any problems with the law but it can differ from city to city so its always best to check. Distribution So now you have the yer all set up and ready to go. There are various ways in which to get your yers out but it all depends on your budget. Either way you need to get as much exposure as you can to increase the ROI rates. Free A nice and free way is to ask a select few of your friends to help you get the yers out there. Tell them you will pay them a rate depending on conversions. Set your alarm for 12.00am and go out with a backpack of yers into your city. Stick the yer everywhere that relevant, for example for the smoking niche attach them to poles, cars, doors around the local pubs, ofces and other places smokers may be. Place them on smoking areas, and cigaret bins etc. Paid There are many ways to pay for distribution including outsourcing sites like Fiverr. Google yer distribution in your local search. Or check with your post ofce as most run their own. You can also look into including you yers in the local paper. Expand It doesnt have to stop here, if the method works move into other ofine forms of advertising. For example buy a full page in your local paper, a radio station advert, television commercial. The possibilities are endless. Track and Optimize Track your conversion online in your afliate network dashboard. Try to optimize a winning campaign like you would online. Use different yers, copy, landing pages, opt in forms etc and record what gets the best results. The beauty of ofine CPA marketing is its nearly unknown so if you get something protable in one city, move onto the next.

What is Social Marketing? Social Marketing is a form of internet marketing on any social media platform or website. Social media means any platform that indulges a group of internet based applications and audience to exchange content. The majority of social media platforms can operate on any platform or device. Advertisers usually bid on CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) basis, and can see results almost instantly after ad approval. The viral aspect of social marketing places it as one of the most popular CPA marketing methods to date. The Method I am going to show you how to set up a basic campaign on the most popular social dating platform Plenty of Fish. We will walk through how to pick an offer and target your audience. I will then talk you through some amazing tools, which will help your further optimize and scale your campaigns. PoF i believe is the best place to start for both social and self serve marketing as the clicks are affordable and the targeting is only bettered by Facebook. Outcome Social marketing is a very powerful tool. I believe you should try most of the methods above this one before you touch it as it kind of combines all of them together. The volume you can achieve is mind blowing but in the same breath you can lose a lot of money. I advice you to save a budget before attempting a platform like Facebook but PoF can be tested on a slightly tighter budget. Its a big game, and a lot of publishers will use black hat methods to trick platforms and get their ads approved. Thankfully PoF is pretty straight forward and if your ad isnt approved you will be able to nd out why and amend it. There is ALOT of money to be paid in social marketing. 56

Pick an Offer Although it seems obvious to pick dating offers for PoF, by no means stick to them. In fact studies have shown that banner blindness can occur on PoF for dating campaigns due to them becoming the norm. With that being said dating is the best place to start and they certainly have more than enough data for it! Login to your afliate network account and search some dating offers. Be sure to ask your afliate manager what dating offers are converting best across the network for social trafc. For PoF i would advice picking an offer that can be highly targeted. The demographics are amazing on PoF so you can really target down to a unique audience. For the example of this guide i am going to show you how to work with an offer like RichMen.com the highly popular dating website for women looking for wealthy men. Find you Demographics Like I've mentioned above the best thing about PoF is they ask a user every question imaginable to pair them of with a partner of similar interest and needs. This is doing us a MASSIVE favor also as we can access and target those demographics. PoF have built a tool that is a hidden gem to most advertisers. Its called the Demographical Interests Tool. Quite simple enter the niche topic of your offer and analyze the results , for example if it type in the search eld Rich Men i can highlight the following demographics to target,

Its amazing how detailed the search can be and this is all the information we need to start a campaign on PoF. Although you cannot target all these demographics as it will be far to tight. You need to use your head and pick the most important stats to submit in your campaign. However some members do not ll out all the interest elds so make sure you double check your demographics by entering the URL on Quantcast and cross referencing the results. 58

Create some Creatives Ok so now we have the offer and our target audience, we need to make some creatives. PoF is all about testing different creatives to see what works. You need to test multiple banners and track the CTR, test colors, copy, images, positions etc. Luckily the good folks of Crazy CTR have come up with an amazing solution to easily optimize and test different images. Key Points Here is an example of an ad i recently received nice CTR with on PoF.

The key is to stand out. However without testing 10-20 combinations and banners you will never get one that works straight away. KEEP IT SIMPLE! Strong Heading Pick a strong heading and one that targets your niche, make it stand out by adding bold and a different color font (red is usually best). Relevant Picture Pick a relevant image of someone attractive on the eye, dont always use stock images as this creates the illusion of being fake. You want the user to believe this person exists on the site. Use of Language Try to include words where possible like FREE etc, make sure you dont over do it but you want to sell your offer in as little words as possible. Strong call to action The most important step is to add a strong call to action to increase the CTR. A big Join Now or something similar in another different color works wonders. Tracking Make sure you track your links with either Prosper 202 or the inbuilt PoF tracking system. 59

Creating your Campaign Ok so im assuming you have an offer, demographics and a nice set of creatives. Its time to create your rst campaign. Head on over to ads.pof.com and sign up for an account. Another great thing about PoF is theres no minimum deposit so you can test on a low budget. Click the big green button that says Create Campaign Name your Campaign This may sound simple but i advice naming your campaign base on your targeting, this will allow you to easily establish between split tested campaigns. For example i would name this campaign Female/45-52/<$25,000/single etc Budget Bidding per CPM has its ups and it has its downs. You have to play with it a bit to get the most out of the CPM model. I would advice starting somewhere around $0.30 CPM and slowly increasing it to see if you get any more clicks. I would personally try to stay under $0.50 CPM. Targeting

Here you need to grab some of the demographics you have come up with in your research and add them one by one. Be sensible and target your broadest ones, lets be honest not many thin, 45 year old with a masters degree who drink daily will be on PoF. You get the point! Select the corresponding demographic from the drop down menu and insert them according to your research. Make sure you ONLY target the country your offer converts in. Make sure you click the Add Target button. Dates Select the start date as the current day and i would suggest letting it run for a week to test. Delivery This is where you set how much you want to spend per day and how you would like your campaign distributed. 60

Max Dailey Spend Set this to your Max daily spend, at rst on a small budget i would advice testing at least $20. Distribution This allows you to select if you want to distribute your impressions all at once or over the course of the day. I would advice letting it at rst run evenly as you can then track which times of the day perform better for your campaign and adjust accordingly. Frequency Cap This means the amount of times your ad is shown to a unique user per session. Set this to 3. Value of Conversion Enter here the amount your offer pays out upon converting for tracking purposes. Add a Creative Name your creative and select the Small Banner (310x110) button if your are following this guide. Then click Choose File and upload your rst creative. Enter your Click-thru URL which will be your offer or landing page link. Then click Create Campaign and your campaign is now ready for approval. Add more Creatives Now click on your campaign name on the dashboard, ! Campaign Name > Go To Bulk Uploader

now upload the remaining creatives you have created with Crazy CTR. Track and Optimize Let the campaign run for a week and then take a close look into the tracking, keep the ads with the high CTR and ditch the ones without. Work on new creatives to improve the CTR and try to slightly higher the CPM bid to see if you can increase the trafc. A decent campaign wont last to long as targets are so narrow. Rinse as much as you can and repeat with a new campaign. 61

What is Mobile Marketing? Mobile marketing is a form of marketing by any device that is mobile. This means targeting trafc from mobiles, tablets and anything mobile. This is the newest craze of CPA marketing and with the introduction of more and more tablets and smart phones will be one of the biggest audiences in the near future. Mobile marketing can come in many forms including SMS, advertisements and MMS. Self serve mobile platforms are increasing in popularity and the space is starting to blow up. There are many different advertising models within mobile but the most common are CPM and CPC. The Method In this method i will walk you through how to sign up and get your rst campaign live on a self serve real time mobile advertising platform Tapit. Using mobile specic CPA offers we will research demographics and set up our rst campaign. I will show you how to target specic demographics and optimize your returns. Outcome Mobile is very untapped so it can be quite risky to start out with. Also the laws are forever changing and adapting about mobile advertising so you need to keep up to date with what you can and cant do. However as its such an upcoming source so if you can make it work for you now then you stand a great chance of prospering from it in the near future. its also the fastest growing advertising space in the industry so if you can get in early you wont miss out. Also a lot of new mobile advertising platforms are coming up with amazing technology and interfaces to make mobile marketing so much easier for the advertiser.

Pick an Offer Picking your offer can take some consideration, seeing as Mobile is quite new their are SO many angles you can go down and the targeting is amazing. I suggest contacting your afliate manager and asking them whats converting with the highest EPC on mobile trafc. Likewise login to your afliate network account and select the mobile section and take a look at some offers. I would advice rst mastering the small submit offers, the great thing about mobile is you can get some great payouts on email/pin submit offers. Although relatively new to mobile ive had some nice results with free iPad and iPod offers. Just always check/make sure the offer is optimized for mobile trafc. Understand your Demographics Android users are 10% more likely to be men. iPhone users are 18% more likely to be women. Android users are more likely to be middle-class. iPhone users are more likely to be uppermiddle class. Android users are more likely to listen to a telemarketer than iPhone users. These are just a few stats from recent mobile reports. I would suggest searching the web for more recent stats and take them on board. For example if i was using a Victoria Secret offer i would gather from the stats above that i would be better off targeting iPhone users as they have the bigger female audience. You can also run your offer via Quantcast and Google ad planner to back up your demographics. Sign up to a Platform Ok so now we need to sign up to a mobile marketing platform. There are several really great platforms but my favorite has to be Tapit.com. The guys over on Tapit are extremely helpful and the support is amazing. Not only that but they are very newbie friendly and there to help you learn mobile marketing. Head on over to Tapit.com and sign up. Once signed up go to, ! Account > fund your account

Fund your account with at least $50 to make the most of the amazing special these guys are offering us. Then email jb@tapit.com saying you came from CPAFix and have funded the $50. He will then add another $50 into your advertising account 100% FREE. 64

Create Your Campaign Ok so now you have funded your account and picked an offer its time to set up your rst campaign. Log into your Tapit.com dashboard and click Create Campaign Campaign Name Simple enter your offer name or campaign name here. Campaign Type Here you will get the option of paying CPC (Cost per click) or CPM (cost per 1000 impressions), i would advise starting with CPC and moving onto CPM later. Daily Budget Select the amount of budget you wish to spend per day, when testing i would start with at least $25 a day if you can afford it, but you can be protable on less. Conversion Value Place here the amount you get per conversion on the offer payout, for tracking purposes. Category Pick the category most related to your offer. Start Date and End Date Select the date to start today and do not place an end date unless needed. Enable Day parting I would select no to start with, this can be used for further testing when protable Delivery If starting on a low budget i would always select evenly, this means your ads will be spread across the day instead of being shown all at once. You can then work out when your offer performs the best. Click Save and Continue. 65

Geo Location Here you will need to go back to your afliate network dashboard and select your offer. Take a look at what country the offer converts in and make sure you select those countries ONLY on the Geo Location section. Platforms & Handsets Here you can target mobile devices and handsets. Use this if you know specic demographics about your offer. For example if we go back to the Victoria Secret example i would select iPhones only as stats show more iPhone users are female. For general offers just select All. Carrier & Connection Unless your offer or landing page is not built for mobile carrier trafc and only for wi trafc select Target all trafc here. Environment I would also advise selecting target all trafc here. Unless you pick an offer that pays out on app install then you may have more success targeting user already on apps. Channels Channels can be used if you offer falls into one of the channels they provide. However i tend to stick to general offers that appeal to most people on mobile like the FREE iPad ones. So i always go with RON (Run of Network), meaning your campaign will be shown across all channels therefore brining in a wider range of trafc to test. Bids Remember we are bidding CPC, so i advice always bidding a little over the minimum CPC price. This means you are already trying to bid over the competition therefore resulting in your campaigns gaining more exposure straight away. I would start with a bid of $0.10 Post-Click Optimization This is a great tool Tapit provide whereby you can gather site IDs from previous campaigns and either block or allow just those IDs depending on performance. For your rst campaigns leave these clear until you have gathered data. Click Save and Continue. 66

Ad Name Simply enter your campaign or offer name again here. Click Action This is to tell them where to send the click, so for your CPA offer select Click to URL Rotate URL This is a GREAT tool used to split test offer or landing pages, simply click yes if you want to test different offers/landing pages and enter the URLs in the elds provided. Destination URL Enter your offer URL, a pop out will appear explaining the available Macros. These are basically Sub IDs that you can add for some amazing tracking features. I would suggest contacting your Tapit account manager and asking them to show you how to set these up. I would always add as many as you can so you can gather data and then scale accordingly. Ad Type I personally LOVE the Ad Builder Tapit provide and have come up with some great little creatives using it. Make sure you stick to standard protocol and list a strong call to action with a nice incentive to click. Mobile is no different to other sources when it comes to creatives, you MUST test everything and track. Alternatively you have a lot more options to build other creatives or upload your own. Select your creative and go Create Ad and Finish Break up Campaigns and Test Once you have submitted your campaign it is all about testing. Create multiple ads for the same campaigns. Using the Macro feature target different variables per campaign to see what results in the best CTR. Gather multiple data and then make the most of Tapits targeting features. Also test 5-10 creatives with different looks, colors, copy, images, sizes etc per campaign until you nd the winning formula. It may take a nice budget to test but its worth it when you nd a winner and scale up. 67
