Obtaining and Maintaining Business Engagement When You Return to the Ofce
Craig Nicholls - Manager SAP Services Section, Department of Families, Housing, Community Services & Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) Attending a Mastering SAP conference is an awesome experience you leave the event on a high, feeling energised and ready to assist your organisation to solve all their issues. The days, weeks and months after the event can be a bit of a letdown as you get caught up in the internal politics of your organisation and the limitations that exist with business engagement. At FaHCSIA attempts to engage with senior managers were unsuccessful until 2010 when the SAP BW team nally broke the glass ceiling and delivered an executive dashboard. Overnight they found themselves assisting senior executives to drive organisational change, but fast forward 18 months and the dashboard was becoming stale. Discover how they reinvented themselves to again be sitting at the boardroom table partnering with business to add value. Breaking the culture of if you build it they will come Stop focusing on just emerging technologies, focus back on what business thinks is important Engaging with key stakeholders - discussing requirements, data integrity, business value and return on investment Develop a strategy and roadmap for the future Current SAP Release: BI 4 SP5 & BW 7.01

Come along to see a great variety of LIVE software demos on stage, everyone competing for the ultimate glory your vote. Demo Jam will be a nonstop, power-packed session, presented on Sunday evening. How it works: Prior to the event, all entrants will be provided a short case study presenting a real business problem, along with the source system data (in a number of formats) to be used to support your solution. In the days (or weeks!) leading up to the Demo Jam, you have time to think about the business problem, look at the source data provided, identify a potential solution and develop it using your choice of SAP products that you have available to you. On the day of the Demo Jam, each entrant will have 6 minutes to prove the supremacy of their live, hands-on demonstration to the audience. If you want the chance to be crowned Mastering SAP Business Analytics 2013 Demo Jam winner, please contact Sophie on sophie.sipsma@theeventfulgroup.com for more details on how to become a contestant. Submissions are welcome from all customer, partner and SAP entrants and the nalists for the night will be selected by the Mastering SAP Business Analytics Conference Advisory Committee.
