Narrative report (Jan 09-1/htI @R 09)

Here in Ethiopia the state of feeling economically safety for the

elderly people could have been from the extended families and relatives
to be financiaIly, socially and psychoiogically supported. .The elderly
people as well naturally and culturally presume that they had consumed
their energy bring up their children and rendering service for the society
at large wishes to be retrieved. Regrettably they could not reap from the
hard work of their whole life for matching poverty hold their progeny
back to look after their own parents all the more so could not be
victorious over their own daily life.

With the intervention of Oud in Afrika old people assistance project

the life of Addo,Dulli and Ajabul village elderly people has been restored
lil so many ways.
Primarily Monthly Allowance given to each person resolves their
financial difficulties. And enable them to not despair and hate life.
Secondly support them to socially interact and permit them to accept
themselves as used to be productive citizen to the society
Thirdly they feel that church is at their side through the support
rendered by oud in Afrika.
This financial and moral support completely altered their negative
attitude of being helplessness and dislike in the society in to positive
thinking. This positive attitude resulted to share their long life experience
and wisdom to the community and surrounding villages.

The society who tolerated living together with those who spend
time worrying because of lack of finance are now are very much happy at
the help. Because they are directly beneficiaries from the Aud in Afrika
old people assistance program primarily by sharing rich wisdom and long
experience and secondly relieve them from financial and social burden.
