Area VI Rocky Mountain Minuteman Recruiting competition rules and instructions

The competition is designed to promote an overall increase in membership of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) as well as an increase in membership within the individual State Associations. To do that Area VI is offering a prize to the one member in Area VI that personally contacts and recruits the largest number of members for EANGUS. Top recruiters from each State receive a Certificate of Achievement. The prize for the Minuteman recruiting competition is a trip to the EANGUS Area VI and VII Mid-Winter Conference, 17-19 January 2014, in Vancouver, WA. The trip includes airfare from your home state, 2 nights lodging at the Red Lion Hotel, and one registration. If unavailable to attend the Mid-Winter Conference with us in January 2014, the winner may submit a written request to receive the cash surrender value for the prize which is set at $500. To participate, an individual must be a current paid member of EANGUS, and must be a current, former, or retired enlisted member of the National Guard residing in one of the States in Area VI. The State Association President and Membership Chair are excluded from participation and will serve as the certifying officials for the competition. In order to receive credit, EANGUS recruiters must ensure that every membership application they turn in to the State Membership Chair has their name on it as the recruiter or referring individual. This is an individual competition so EANGUS recruiters may not pool their applications or take credit for new members they did not personally recruit. New memberships are highly desired, however, credit will also be given to EANGUS recruiters who are responsible for getting a current EANGUS member to renew their expiring membership during this period. See your State representatives for blank membership applications. The Competition period is from 15 Sep 2013 thru 15 Dec 2013. Membership applications turned in to the State Membership Chair prior to 15 Sep 2013, or turned in after 15 Dec 2013, will NOT count towards the prize competition. Only those applications submitted during the competition period will count, and the membership dues payment must be received by the Membership Chair at the same time the applications are turned in. NOTE: To be considered for the prize competition, the EANGUS recruiter must have personally referred/recruited a minimum of 50 members during the contest period. If no one achieves the minimum of 50 memberships, the competition may be extended as determined by the Area VI Directors and State Presidents. A copy of the complete competition program rules and instructions can be provided upon request. Questions regarding the competition may be referred to your State representative as indicated below, or the Area VI Chair, CSM (Ret) Karen Craig at kcraig1955@cox.net If you need more information about the Enlisted Association National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) in order to recruit members, please see our website at www.eangus.org, or talk to your State Membership Chair or designated representatives.
