CINDERELLA IS BACK TO ROCK

THE NEW DOWNTOWN RESIDENT BAND: Cinderella Rockafella. They have conquered Canada and the United States of America, stomped Singapore, invaded Indonesia, taken Taiwan and Thailand, charmed China and rocked the Middle East. This is the Cinderella Rockefella, three time winner of the Budweiser Battle of the Bands. The six-piece band features the talented musicians Trent Janz from Australia on lead guitar and vocals, Sean from the USA on keyboards, vocals and percussion. The rhythm section is solely made out of Canadians Daggy on bass guitar, vocals, drums and percussion; as well as John on drums and vocals. To top it off: Venny from Indonesia on vocals and percussion and dynamic Pookie Monster on vocals and keyboard,

Noor Lounge welcomes the award-winning pianist

MANAMA: Noor Lounge, the prestigious lobby lounge at InterContinental Regency Bahrain, welcomes Hristina Giteva, the award-winning pianist from Bulgaria. Hristina has 11 years of experience as a professional pianist and has performed in Norway, Switzerland, Germany and Bulgaria. She has won several awards in pianist competitions held in Bulgaria and has vast experience as a solo piano player. Hristina first began her professional career in 2002 as a pianist at a lobby bar in a well-known five star hotel situated in Sofia, Bulgaria. In between the years, she also participated in many different concerts, solo recitals, competitions, open-air festivals and also joint performances with other musicians and bands around the Europe. The team is excited to have Hristina on board for the next six months and we take this opportunity to further promote our lobby lounge, the place to meet and to be. says Justin Wermers, the Food & Beverage Manager at the InterContinental Regency.

SHISHA, ALSO CALLED A HOOKAH, is a water pipe for smoking based on fruit-flavored tobacco. It is very popular in many Arab countries amongst people of all generations and is part of their culture and traditions. This fruit-scented tobacco is burnt using coals, it is then passed through a water vessel and to be inhaled using the water pipe. Most shishas have a medium level sweetness with fine tobacco mixture.
