ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND The Prouty Project (www.proutyproject.com) is a highly successful management consulting firm which has been in business over 25 years. With hundreds of clients throughout the United States and internationally, The Prouty Project focuses on providing services in strategic planning and direction setting, team development and team alignment, and organizational development. The firm consists of a staff of nine at its creative think tank offices in suburban Minneapolis and a number of related adjunct consultants who round out the Prouty Project offerings. The Prouty Project is well known for its work in strategic planning. The group has built a national reputation in this core competency by working with executive teams in organizations of all sizes, in groups of up to 2000 people, encouraging and teaching them to stretch their goals, objectives and results. OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION The position of Strategic Planning Consultant has been created to meet an on-going demand for services offered by the firm, including organizational development, change management, leadership coaching, teambuilding, performance management, strategic planning and related consulting services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in the Prouty Projects current and future client work in strategic planning, change management, team development and leadership development. This includes: o Designing and facilitating organizational change strategies, o Designing and facilitating effective organizational and performance management systems, o Designing and facilitating highest quality strategic planning sessions, and o Facilitating enterprise-wide large-scale initiatives and interventions.

Assist with business development activities, joining other Prouty Project team members in bringing new clients to the Prouty Project. Increasingly, take on responsibility for business acquisition activities. Continue to build new models, processes and approaches, as needed, to solve client issues. Bring a knowledge and facility about trends and best practices in organizational consulting. Work on client relationship building activities including: new client development, individual client needs assessment interviews, formal and informal presentations, proposal writing, on-going client management, measurement and feedback. Discuss and consult with business leaders and teams in critical areas of organization effectiveness such as: strategic operations planning, change management, compensation/rewards, leadership style/assessment, measurement, and organizational alignment. Work as a process consultant with client groups. Be able to guide groups of individuals through complex planning and decision-making processes, using a broad array of methods, including experiential learning. Analyze client business needs to design, develop and implement a broad range of coaching, consulting and performance improvement strategies. Contribute broadly within the Prouty Project as a generalist who is able and willing to assist team members with client initiatives. Assess culture and talent fit of potential new team members at the Prouty Project. Welcome and assist new team members and partners to the organization.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The Strategic Planning Consultant will report directly to Jeff Prouty and work closely with all members of the Prouty Project team. He or she will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the firm and will have significant interaction with clients, potential clients and the broader business community. QUALIFICATIONS This critical position requires at least seven to ten years of overall experience and at least five years of related experience in strategic planning, organization development, leadership consulting and/or related professional services. Strong business acumen is a must, and marketing expertise would be great. The successful candidate will be the person who can assist with client opportunities, identify key market factors and provide exceptional client service in a human capital services environment.

The Strategic Planning Consultant will possess an undergraduate degree. A masters degree is desirable, but not a requirement. The successful candidate will have the background/potential to grow in the company--thinking strategically, keeping a keen eye on execution and results, and maintaining outstanding team member and customer relations. This individual will have a broad network of business and community contacts and style of building strong mutually beneficial relationships. With a passion for strategy, leadership and team development, the Strategic Planning Consultant will be able to articulate the services of the Prouty Project and bring new clients to the firm. This individual will be an exceptional communicator, able to share information easily in the C-suite and beyond. He or she will be a good listener and a capable public speaker. The Strategic Planning Consultant will have a global perspective; he or she will be committed to diversity and will respect the dignity of all people. Most importantly, the Strategic Planning Consultant will be energized and adaptable; they will enjoy their work and promote a spirit of fun!

COMPENSATION The compensation for this position is competitive and attractive and consists of a base salary, performance bonus and opportunity to participate in the companys benefits package.
