ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
We received the following letters of thanks for our Annual Parish Charitable Donations for 2008.
♦THE ADMASTON & AREA FOOD GRAINS project up-date:

10 Acres produced 14.2 tonnes of soybeans which sold at $354 per tonne. This $5026.80 cheque plus donations
of more than $3000 were forwarded to the Canadian Food Grains Bank. Matching funds at 4:1 from CIDA
created more than $40,000 to be used in DFGB projects throughout the world. Special thanks to Barclay Dick
and Son/Monsanto who donated the seed, Murray Galbraith for the spray application, Ray Pender, the land
and planting, Arie Vanlindenberg and family for the combining, Upper Canada Fuels for fuel.
Thank you for your contribution to this Christian response to hunger in the world.
♦GREY SISTERS OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION:
Thank you for your gift of $400, received in March. We are very grateful. It has been forwarded to our
missions in the Dominican Republic to purchase medicine for those in need.
In the Dominican Republic we have two Health Centres. One is in the sugar cane area where the cane cutters
live in isolated settlements in the midst of the sugar cane. The other is in a hilly country area. From both
centres, the medical staff extend their work by weekly visits. Medicines are available in the Dominican
Republic – but at a cost. Your donation will mean that many more people can be attended. God Bless you.
