SAMPLE BANNER REGISTRATION ERROR MESSAGES MESSAGE EXPLANATION

This message appears if the students status for the selected term is one that prevents registration. For example: Academic Suspension or Probation. All students will be prompted to enter their assigned 6-digit number. This message appears if the class a student entered is closed. This message appears when you are attempting to register for a course and you are not enrolled in the required corequisite course. This message appears if the student attempts to register for two identical courses. This message appears of the student has a hold which prevents registration. This message appears when you must obtain approval from the instructor to take this course. This message indicates there is a level restriction on the course preventing registration. For example: undergraduate or graduate students only. This message indicates that there is a major restriction on the course preventing student registration. For example: Math, Biology Majors only. This message appears if a student is attempting to register for more than the maximum hours allowed. This message appears when a student attempts to register for a course that requires a pre-requisite course. This message appears if the student attempts to register for a term that is not open or student may have holds. This message appears if the student is attempting to register for two courses that meet on the same day and time.

ACADEMIC STANDING PROHIBITS REGISTRATION ALTERNATE PIN CLOSED SECTION

This PIN number is given to students by their advisor during their advisement session. Student will need to locate an alternative course or request a closed class override from the instructor. Student will need to enroll in the required course or request a Co-requisite override from the instructor. Student will need to locate an alternative course. Student will need to view holds on their banner account to locate which office has place the restriction. Student will need to contact the instructor and request an instructor override. Student will need to locate an available course, or request to enroll in graduate level courses by submitting a request form: http://www.uncfsu.edu/registrar/forms.ht m#U Student will need to locate another available course. Student may exceed the course overload limit by submitting a course overload form: http://www.uncfsu.edu/registrar/forms.ht m#C Student will need view the university catalog to locate required pre-requisite and/or request a pre-requisite override from the instructor. Student will need to select the correct term or ensure they do not have holds.
