Test procedures
TEST CASES DRIVE TEST METHODOLOGY Drive Test to be done using two UEs and a Scanner. (MS1-in idle Mode and; MS2 in Dedicated Mode). Both UEs are Locked to 3G Only. 1. Coverage performance of each sector (Best Server RSCP) 2. Quality performance of each sector(Best Server EcNo) Short calls: Static test on each sector. Call duration is 20 seconds and 10 seconds idle. Long Calls: Drive around within the coverage objective of each sector. Handover performance to be verified by driving in clock wise and anti clock wise around the Site, for all three sectors. Then perform handover test towards its surrounding neighbors (at least 3 neighbors) R99 & HSPA test for the following: 1. PDP context activation (5 attempts) 2. Throughput test (based on 2MB downloaded file from the FTP server. 3 SMS/MMS per cell at different locations with 10 sec break after each SMS/MMS

Handover Test
Handover tests will be performed to demonstrate the mobility feature supported by the network. The test will also include Neighbor checks which shall be performed by driving around the site in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction for cells in the same site; and inter cell handover with the closest surrounding sites. 3.3 Handover detection

The tests are required to verify the performance of the data calls. The data collected from the static calls and also from long calls will be used to generate the required data. The results will be interpreted and compared with the acceptance criteria. Sector -1 PS(R99 ) PDP Context Request PDP Accept Context UL 398 UL 383 DL 394 DL 390 5 5 HSPA 5 5

testing of this site. Target Uplink Data Throughput: R99 utilizes 384 kbps RAB and the HSUPA can cater for 1.94 mbps. The target UL Peak throughput is expected to deliver 80% of the maximum RAB rate and; the average throughput should be >50% of the maximum RAB rate considering the complete drive test data. HSUPA is expected to achieve 50% of peak throughput rate and; the average throughput should be 20% of the maximum throughput, considering the complete drive test data. Target Downlink Data Throughput: R99 utilizes 384 kbps RAB and the HSDPA can cater for 7.2 mbps. For R99 PS service, the average DL throughput target is expected achieve 50% of the RAB rate and the peak DL throughput target is set to achieve 80% of the RAB rate on any one instance. HSDPA is expected to achieve 50% of peak throughput rate and; the average throughput should be 20% of the maximum throughput, considering the complete drive test data. Test method: The UL & DL of data transfer will be from a test FTP server. The file format should be a txt or data file.
