Everybody in the audience was jubilant, rejoicing, shouting, clapping, stomping their feet---it was a day of praising and honoring God as Teacher Guia received 2 awards during the 20th anniversary celebration of the Institute for Foundational Learning (IFL) held at Christ Commission Fellowship on October 28, 2009. The awards given were: (1) Plaque of Appreciation as Resource Speaker, for teaching and training teachers for 20 years in different places in the country where IFL pre-schools are present; and (2) Soaring Eagle Award, for the 20 years of existence of Yeshua Foundational Learning Center and for being one of the longest running pre-schools set-up by IFL. We share these awards to our ministry partners and supporters and to the whole Shekinah family. Indeed God has been faithful all these years as some of those who graduated from Yeshua Foundational Learning Center are now professionals. We will continue to carry out the mission and vision of IFL. To God be the glory!

Ondoy and Pepeng

(September 26 and October 3, 2009)
Two of the strongest typhoons that hit our country over the last 5 years brought massive destruction to many lives, properties and infrastructures. Over 5 million people were affected and about a thousand lives were killed by the rushing floodwaters as high as 15 feet. Some members of our church were not spared from the fury of the two typhoons. As a church, we were able to solicit, repack and distribute a number of relief goods to deserving and needy victims of the calamity---not only to our fellow church members but to nearby residents as well. We thank God that He is our refuge in times of trouble.

As we celebrate Christmas again, let us be reminded that He is our IMMANUELwho is always with us at all times. During the time that I was about to receive the award for our pre-school and for myself, I felt the embrace of God whispering to me His very own words as written in the Bible, Well done, good and faithful servant---keep on doing what youre doing! What an assurance we can have that our labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58) I want to take this opportunity to announce that my youngest daughter is tying the knot on January 2, 2010 to Ferdinand Serraon, son of Ate Mely Serraon. Both Genesis (my daughter) and Enan grew up together in the church. I consider them as childhood friends. May they have a blissful married life. Please pray for me as I trust God for new challenges in my life, even as I face the coming year. I am also equally grateful to you, our donors and ministry partners, for your unwavering support to my family and ministry. From the bottom of my heart, I greet you a very Merry Christmas and all the Blessings of the year 2010!
