COURSE DESCRIPTION (10001500 characters): ...Lectures: Completion and workovers, place and the role in well "life time". System approach in selecting types of well completion, selection of downhole tools and surface equipment. Design of pipes (tubing, coiled tubing), connections, down hole control tools, isolating tools (packers), measuring tools. Designing of multiple completions, System behaviour in different parts of the well: vertical, declined, horizontal. Designing workover operations. Exercises: Algorithms of systematic approach to completion design. Simulation by the use of available software programmes. Triaxial stresses for round and oval pipes (ellipse of real stresses). Movements and stresses in tubing and packer systems. Field courses: Learning and experiencing real working conditions and project efficiency evaluation. DEVELOPMENT OF GENERAL AND SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (max. 300 characters describe main goal of the subject in terms of knowledge and skills that a student would acquire by taking the course): Learn and train students for planning and supervising completion and workover projecting and execution.. Application of propper safety measurements (ant explosion and ant fire), and safety measurements due dangerous gasses. ALTERNATIVE TEACHING METHODS AND TESTING SYSTEMS (besides lectures and tutorials, other types of continuous study are recommended with adequate methods to evaluate student performance e.g. homework, seminar papers, projects, mid-term exams etc.): - written quiz (2) - solving problems (1) COMPULSORY LITERATURE (with detailed data on publisher and year of publication): 1.
