STREAMLINED VISA PROCESSIGN DECLARATION

Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) is an initiative that was implemented in March 2012, by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Under this initiative, DIAC will assess all eligible student visa applicants as though they were a lower risk (similar to the current Assessment Level 1), regardless of their country of origin. This will reduce the amount of documentation required and the length of time it takes to issue the student visa. More information, including eligible programs, is at www.uq.edu.au/internationalstudents/svp. If you have received a Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) Declaration with your offer letter, you should review it and sign.
