Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

When we are learning to hear Gods voice it is important that we get quiet before Him.

I Kings 19:12, But the Lord was not in the fire and after the fire was the sound of a gentle whisper.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastors Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

God is a spirit and I must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 When I have believed on Jesus as my Savior and received him, the Sprit Himself bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God. Romans 8:16 I believe on Jesus and the works that He did I shall do also. Greater works than these I will do because Jesus went to His Father. John 14:12

Elijah was a prophet in the Bible who wanted to hear Gods voice. He went on a mountain where the wind was blowing, then to an earthquake, then to a blazing fire. He thought that he would hear Gods voice in these powerful things, but it was not until he got very quiet that he heard Gods voice. Samson was a man in the Bible who was led by his own feelings instead of Gods voice. We all have to learn and recognize Gods voice when a hundred other voices are blaring in our heads. We must learn to shut out all the other sounds so we wont miss Him. He speaks to our heart or spirit man; not our head, or emotions. When we feel pressured to do something, it is a good practice to get away from the voices of pressure. God does not use pressure! Learn from Samsons mistake; try hard to hear God. Get quiet and ask God what is the right thing to do.
