Auzou
Paris, France

Auzou has been publishing books for more than forty years, and with such experience we fully understand the demands of the childrens book market. Recognized among the rst fteen most successful publishing houses in France, our aim is to continue every day to imagine new titles and to look for the most creative illustrators. For two years now, Auzou has committed to a new challenge: to translate our bestsellers and to create new ones just for the North American market. Since 2012, we have been publishing in English and submitting to American readers our most beautiful stories and our most original and creative illustrations. Three major sections make our catalog: Early childhood: Aimed at helping toddlers discover the world they live in while making them participate and interact. Whether its recognizing the smells of fruits with the First Book of Smells and Colors, or the sounds of animals with My Little Sound Books, toddlers will always learn better while playing! Albums and novelty books: Dedicated to children mostly aged between six and twelve, when they start to discover the books on their own and sometimes to read by themselves. Our most representative character is the charismatic Wolf! Already hero of four titles in the Little Picture Books collection, this character brings the children along in his adventures. With them, you will discover the world or even be a singer for a moment! The Big Picture Books collection will please our older readers. Children will discover the worldwide stories of White Fang, Romeo and Juliet, or Cleopatra. Educational books: A priority for Auzou. Discovering animals with My Book of Animals or understanding how science works with our bestseller My Little Handbook of Experiments is always interesting! Hope youll enjoy our titles!

Her barrio is becoming more of a ghost town each day since the lard company moved away. Even her school closed down. Her familys bakery and the other surviving businesses may soon follow. And then theres his son. The one with the softest of lips. Pig Park is a contemporary Faustian tale that forces us to look at the desperate lengths people will go to in the name of communityand maybe love. Claudia Guadalupe Martinez, author of the award-winning The Smell of Old Lady Perfume, has long been distressed about how the global economy is displacing workers and families. Claudia grew up in a tight family in Segundo Barrio in El Paso, Texas. She learned that letters form words from reading the Spanish subtitles of old westerns for her father. At age six, she already knew she wanted to create stories. Her father, who passed away when she was eleven, encouraged her to dream big and write many books. Engine Books Looking for Jack Kerouac

Barbara Shoup

It wasnt Duke Walczaks fault that I took o for Florida, like Kathy thought. The truth is, we started getting sideways with each other on our class trip to New York and Washington D.C. nearly a year earlierwhich, looking back, is ironic since she was the one dead set on going. From the author of Wish You Were Here and Stranded in Harmony (American Library Association Best Books for Young Adults), and Vermeers Daughter (a School Library Journal Best Adult Book for Young Adults). In 1964, Paul Carpetti discovers Jack Kerouacs On the Road while on a school trip to New York and begins to question the life he faces after high school. Then he meets a volatile, charismatic Kerouac devotee determined to hit the road himself. When the boys learn that Kerouac is living in St. Petersburg, Florida, they go looking for answers. Barbara Shoup is the author of seven novels and the co-author of two books about the ction craft. She is the recipient of numerous grants from the Indiana Arts Council, two creative renewal grants from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, the 2006 PEN/Phyllis Naylor Working Writer Fellowship, and the 2012 Eugene and Marilyn Glick Regional Indiana Author Award. She was the writer-in-residence at Broad Ripple High School Center for the Humanities and the Performing Arts in Indianapolis for twenty years. Ig Publishing Domestic Arrangements

Norma Klein
Introduction by Judy Blume

Originally published in 1982, Domestic Arrangements is the story of a fourteenyear-old New York teen named Tatiana, an unintentional ingnue who becomes notorious for lming a nude scene for a major movie. Tatianas newfound famewhich includes interviews, magazine covers, and publicistsis set against the backdrop of an increasingly adult personal life, as her parents le for divorce, her sister becomes increasingly jealous of her siblings success, and she must choose between her teenage boyfriend and new, older loves. A stunning example of Norma Kleins fearless take on the complexities of adolescence, Domestic Arrangements is an indelible portrait of a girl on the cusp of adulthood, learning to balance the challenges of life in the spotlight with love, family, and friendship. This edition features a brand new introduction by Normas long-time friend, renowned childrens author Judy Blume. Norma Klein was best known for young adult works that dealt with family problems, childhood and adolescent sexuality, as well as social issues like racism, sexism, and contraception. Her rst novel, Mom, the Wolf Man and Me (1972), was about the daughter of an unmarried, sexually active woman. Her subsequent works included Sunshine, Its Okay If You Dont Love Me, Breaking up, and Family Secrets. Because of their subject matter, many of her books sparked considerable controversy, and a 1986 American Library Association survey found that nine of her novels had been removed from libraries. In an interview that same year with the New York Times, Klein said, Im not a rebel, trying to stir things up just to be provocative. Im doing it because I feel like writing about real life. She died in 1989 at the age of fty.
What happens when a fourteen-year-old who has just made her rst moviecomplete with a tasteful nude scenetakes her rst lover?

Annie Besant
Illustrated by Ruchi Mhasane
But what is whimsy? Is it the madness of Fox or the weirdness of Prat? These two delightfully absurd creatures compete with each other to be the most whimsical. This is a warm, funny, gorgeously illustrated picture book about weirdness, dierences, and the very endearing nature of eccentricity. Ruchi Mhasanes gift for comic composition perfectly complements Annie Besants humorous text. The lush images, sweeping vistas, and remarkable close-ups add to the whimsical nature of the tale. The nuanced text never states more than it has to, leaving much up to the imagination, while still fueling it with quiet, quirky wisdom.
