(Permanent facility located at Darebin Resource Recovery Centre) You can dispose the following items FREE at the Resource Recovery Centre; paint (including spray cans), gas bottles, barbeque cylinders, fire extinguishers, fluorescent tubes, motor oil and car and household batteries. This service is limited to computers and peripherals and do not include other electronic items such as televisions, videos and hi-fi equipments. Put re-usable household items and separated bottles and cans at the top of your load Securely tie down household items that can be dropped off
prior to unloading other material

Closed on Good Friday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day (Christmas Eve closed at 11:00 am) The Centre is subject to closure during strong windy conditions. Please telephone & check prior to arrival

Place bottles and cans in separate bags that can be emptied

and re-reused

Flatten and secure cardboard and paper, keeping them

separate from other waste

Stack metals so they can be easily unloaded, and bag green waste when part of a mixed load. Carefully load metals so they balance your trailer and can be
easily dropped off in the metal recycling area

Keep green waste separate by putting it into bags that can be

emptied and re-used or by tying it in bundles.

Begin by filling your ute or trailer with heavy reusable materials Evenly distribute soil, concrete, bricks, roof tiles, rocks and
rubbles at the base of your load.
