Introduction
The figure below represents a three-phase, star-connected 400V, 15 kW
commercial oven. The elements are of equal resistance.

When the oven was installed, an earth loop impedance test showed a result
of 0.38. The resistance of the protective earthing conductor is 0.1

Introduction
A new single-phase electric hot water cylinder is to be connected to an existing
isolating switch in a small factory. The cylinder element is an MIMS type. A new
flexible cord has been connected to the cylinder.
The old cylinder has been disconnected and removed.
(a)
