EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM GUIDELINES

You are Bay Ships best source for finding and referring talent. We would like to recognize your efforts by rewarding those employees who refer successful candidates. Please read about our new program and start thinking about potential candidates today! Who is Eligible? All current, full-time and part-time regular employees are eligible for referral cash incentives, except for those employees in the Human Resources (HR) department and supervisory personnel who have direct responsibility for filling a position within their span of control. Employees must be actively employed at Bay Ship at the time the payout is due. Who Qualifies as a Referral? Once an eligible employee has identified a qualified candidate for a posted position, he or she will complete a referral card and submit it along with the candidate's completed application to the HR Department. Upon receipt of the referral card and resume/application, the HR Department will date-stamp the form and verify that no one else has referred this candidate for the position. In the event that an applicant is referred by more than one employee, the first person to refer the candidate will receive the referral award. A referral is valid for the originally submitted specific open position. Employees must submit referral cards and resume/applications for different positions. An award will not be given to an employee for an applicant who has already been considered by the Company for the position. Current regular and temporary employees cannot be referred as candidates for open positions under the Employee Referral Program. However, current employees may apply or be referred for open positions as candidates through the internal job posting system.

How Do I Receive an Award? There are three (3) steps to receiving an award through the Employee Referral Program: I. REFERRAL - It all starts with a referral. You must complete a referral card (available in the main lunch room) and submit the completed card and resume/application to the HR Recruiter. II. INTERVIEW If the candidate meets the basic requirements a first interview is scheduled through the HR Recruiter, then the hiring manager. III. APPLICANT HIRED The candidate you refer must be hired, and must remain an employee for 90 days. The cash incentive will be paid to you on the Companys active payroll. The award becomes payable in ninety (90) days after your referral's date of hire.

There are no limits to the number of cash awards you can receive . . . so the more qualified referrals you provide . . . the more potential there is for extra MONEY to be earned!! Current open positions are posted on the company website and in the employee lunch room.

What Can I Earn? The Referral Award for a filled position is $250. Cash incentives are subject to required deductions and tax withholdings. These earnings will be included in the employees year-end gross earnings shown on the IRS W-2 Wage and Tax Statement. This plan may be modified or terminated at the Companys discretion.
