PACKING PROCEDURE
1. SCOPE

Packing and delivering fabricated materials, care shall be taken so as not to deform of damage them.

2. REFERENCE APPLICABLE

3. MARKING REQUIREMENT

3.1.

Mark packages on top and sides as following : CONTRACT NO. (TBA) Purchase Order No. (TBA) Equipment Tag No Unit No. Gross : Tare. Net. Made in ( Country of Origin ) .

Package No. 3.2. 3.3. 3.4. 3.5. 3.6. 3.7. Size of print should be at least 50mm high but can be scaled down to suit small packages. Marking tags for bundle structural material be made of metal and clamped flat to each bundle. Paper or cloth tags are not acceptable. Top of package must be indicated by marking package with arrow pointing to the top. Easily damaged or perishable goods must be identified with appropriate symbol on container. Fragile Handle With Care Cool Storage Use No Hooks Centre of balance when required due to length or unbalanced weight container or pieces shall have centre of balance indicated by painted stripe extending upward on each side flanked by appropriate wording. Sling mark should be shown on shipping packages as required.

3.9. Place mark must be permanently stamped on oto fabricated sections of structures and equipment to a depth of not less than one millimeter and stamped area painted with rust preventive paint to a radial distance of fifty millimeters on the surrounding area.

3.10. Place packing list inside each shipping package. Copy of packing list in waterproof envelope should be securely fastened to unpacked pieces or bundles. 3.11. Place erection drawing inside one shipping package or in waterproof envelope securely fastened to unpacked piece. 3.12. Country of origin must be marked on shipping packages and also on equipment where possible.

4. DELIVERY OF EQUIPMENT

4.1.

Delivery Document

(1) Delivery document shall be submitted to owner, accordance with owners requested. (2) Instruction for preparing delivery document. (a) Delivery document shall be made in clear capital letters. (b) Performa packing list. (c) List of large cargoes and handling scheme of large cargoes. (d) Packing list. (i) The packing list is an important document for custom clearance and in-coming (material receiving) inspection at job site. Care must be taken to ensure that there is no mismatching between data on the packing list and actually packed equipment. Necessary data and information, such as packing No., item No., net & gross weight, dimensions, description, drawing No., part No., and quantity.

Delivery shall be executed in accordance with pre-notice by owner.

Should indistinct items be found in this manual, subcontractor shall inform from time to time to owner and follow the instruction by owner.
This manual indicates the minimum requirement for packing and delivering equipment. Packing shall be released when the material receiving inspection at job site has been successfully completed.
