2 cups coconut 2 cups dried apples, peeled, cored and chopped 2/3 cup peanut butter 1-1/2 tablespoons vanilla In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Shape into 1/2" balls. Place in your Nesco/American Harvest Dehydrator on dehydrator trays. Dry at 135 F. for 4 to 5 hours, or until firm and crisp on the outside. Makes 3 dozen.
1 tablespoon honey, optional In a large bowl, combine apples, oatmeal, wheat germ and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine yogurt, applesauce and honey. Pour yogurt mixture over apple oatmeal mixture; blend well. Drop by tablespoon onto Solid Fruit Roll Sheets. Place in your Nesco/American Harvest Dehydrator on dehydrator trays. Dry at 135 F. for 5 hours or until cookies come off sheets easily. Turn over and dry 1 hour more.

1 cup onion, chopped (1/4-inch pieces) 1 teaspoon garlic, fresh 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 28-ounce can tomatoes 1 7-ounce package shell or elbow macaroni (add after rehydrating) Place oil, turkey and onion in fry pan. Saute on high heat until turkey and onions are thoroughly cooked. Stir often to break mixture into small pieces. Add seasonings and tomatoes. Squeeze tomatoes into smaller pieces. Reduce heat to medium low and cook until most of liquid has evaporated. Remove from heat. Allow to cool. Lightly oil 2 Fruit Roll sheets. Spread 2 cups evenly on each sheet. Dry at 145 F. in NESCO/American Harvest Dehydratorfor 6 hours or until all pieces are thoroughly dry. Store in air-tight container. Label with name, date and weight. Seal and refrigerate up to 6 months. Shelf life is 3 weeks. Wet weight is 2 pounds. Dry weight is 10 ounces. To Rehydrate: Put contents of bag in pan, add 2 cups of boiling water, cover, stir, and allow to rehydrate for at least 30 minutes. Remove cover and cook over medium heat until any excess liquid evaporates (about 5 minutes). Stir occasionally. In separate pan, bring 2 cups water to a boil on high heat. When boiling, add shell or elbow macaroni. Stir, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes. Add meat mixture to cooked pasta. Stir and serve. Serves 4 to 6. Combine sugars, oil, and onion in a pan. Heat and stir. Reduce heat, cook until onions caramelize. Add beer. Simmer. Cool. Mix remaining ingredients together with the exception of strips. Allow at least 15 minutes for flavors to blend, then puree in blender. Add strips. Marinate at least one hour. For longer marinating time, place in refrigerator in a covered container or in an air-tight plastic bag. Remove from marinade and place in your Nesco/American Harvest Dehydrator on dehydrator trays at 145 F. Dry approximately 6 to 12 hours until chewy.

Allow flavors to blend at least 15 minutes. Add strips. Marinate at least one hour. For a longer marinating time, place in refrigerator in a covered container or an air-tight plastic bag. Remove from marinade and place in your Nesco/American Harvest Dehydrator on dehydrator trays. Dry at 155 F. for 4 to 15 hours, depending on how thick meat is cut.
1 Bell Pepper, minced (optional) 3 cups spaghetti sauce 1/4 cup cayenne pepper (optional) 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese Bring stock or water to a rolling boil in a large pot, stir in pasta, return to a boil; then add chopped hot dogs and Bell Pepper. Cook for 7 minutes, or until pasta is tender. Do not drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and cayenne pepper. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. You may serve at this time, or you may: Spread onto Solid Fruit Roll Sheets, place in your Nesco/American Harvest dehydrator on dehydrator trays, dehydrate for approximately 6 hours at 145 degrees. To rehydrate, cover with water just above level of food in pot, boil, and serve. Serves 4.
Nesco/American Harvest Jerky Works gun. Place strips on Nesco/American Harvest dehydrator trays and dry at highest temperature setting for 5 to 8 hours, or until done. This should make about 1/2 pound of jerky when dried. Double the recipe for more jerky. If you like it spicier, add cayenne pepper. Allow flavors to blend at least 15 minutes. Add meat and marinate at least one hour. For longer marinating time, place in refrigerator in a covered container or in an air-tight plastic bag. Remove from bag, form into shapes and place in Nesco/American Harvest Dehydrator on dehydrator trays. Dry at 155 F. for 6 to 12 hours or until chewy. Sprinkle a little extra salt on top of jerky while it's still moist.

1/2 cup dried apples 1/2 cup dried peaches 1/4 cup dried pineapple 1/4 cup dried pears 1/4 cup dried apricots 1/4 cup almonds 1/2 cup coconut 1 teaspoon grated, dried orange peel 3 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons orange juice 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon In a food processor, finely grind apples, peaches, pineapple, pears, apricots and almonds. Place in a medium bowl. Stir in coconut and orange peel. In a small saucepan, warm honey, orange and lemon juice and cinnamon. Stir to mix well. Slowly pour honey mixture over fruit mixture, stirring until mixture sticks together evenly. Form into 1/2" balls. Dry at 125 F in your Nesco/American Harvest dehydrator for approximately 4 to 6 hours, or until crisp on the outside. Makes about 30 balls.
