Bibles, Bibles, Bibles! We express heartfelt thanks to those who responded to our Facebook appeal for contributions in order to purchase Bibles. We received over $900 and were able to purchase more than 300 Bibles. This month we distributed those Bibles to four churches, four rehab centers and one Bible school! Rehab Ministry We continued our regular schedule of teaching in the local rehabilitation centers this month. It is a joy to be able to speak into the lives of so many young believers and recovering drug addicts. We are always aware of the great changes that are needed in their lives and the tremendous struggle they face to follow Christ and live a different life in a culture that is somewhat hostile to Protestant Christian faith. To become part of a Protestant church in Russia means that you are labeled a member of a sect or cult. Protestant churches are looked upon as something from the West which will corrupt the Russian culture. A Team from America In September we hosted a team from First Baptist Houston. Sally

Greetings from Nizhny Novgorod

After a dark and unseasonably rainy August the weather slipped from summer into fall with hardly any awareness. It has been depressingly cloudy, overcast and rainy most of the month of September, and colder weather is on the way. We actually had our rst brief snowfall late in the month. By the end of October things will be nearly frozen over and snow will begin to cover the ground. The earth may be frozen, but hearts are warmed. The rhythms of life go on in our day to day ministry. Life seems routine, but every week we see people coming to Christ and lives being changed in dramatic ways by the power of the Holy Spirit, mercy and grace.

Hinzie was the team leader. The team visited local area rehabilitation centers and churches. In addition to this we arranged for them to teach in two local Bible schools. One of the Bible Schools is sponsored by the local Assembly of God church which is pastored by our good friend Ivan Beshlyag. They also taught on Thursday evening and Friday evening at the Cornerstone Church leaders meeting and Bible School. Sally works with the Union Baptist Association in Houston, Texas. She has led teams to Nizhny Novgorod for many years and she has raised up a large team of intercessors in America who pray on a regular basis for the city. These prayers have yielded a harvest of new church plants over the last 8 years. We count it such joy to be able to work with many groups, and movements, and across cultural and denominational lines. It is so exciting to witness people working together, praying together and for each other, and lending a hand to each other to fulll the gospel commission of making disciples. It is such a privilege to be a part of this and to have a small inuence in the lives of these kingdom building leaders.
