Question 1 - Formation of the blog The background you have picked works well with the font colour - it doesn't clash or impair the ability to read it. The post titles and the blog title all are clear and stand out instantly, allowing the reader to know straight away what they are reading about and identify the separate posts. You have added gadgets into your sidebar that work well with your blog i.e: the pages tab. These are set up correctly and it works well how you put one page for every technique. Very effective. However you have left the time of the posts on your blog; no many people are bothered about what time you sent the posts, especially not the examiners. Another thing is that you have hardly put many posts. The more posts the better. The colours do get a little dull at times but it is professional looking. Current Mark: 9/10

Question 2 - The Welcome Post Your welcome post is inviting and friendly while remaining professional and not to cheesy. You mention the title of the course and you clearly state what we will be studying throughout it. You also mention about our Western Film that you did and your thoughts on it which allows the reader to catch up on your movements before the blog was created. You keep the post brief but detailed. You mention straight away that you will be taking the reader throughout your journey in the media course. Current Mark: 10/10 Question 3 - Post that defines Camera shot types You haven't done a page or post about Camera shot types. I recommend doing this to get the marks. Make sure you embed media to back up your post. Current Mark: 0/10 Question 4 - Post that defines Camera movements You haven't done a page or post about Camera movements - as I said for the above MAKE SURE YOU DO IT!

Current Mark: 0/10 Question 5 - Post that defines Cut Type You haven't done a page or post about Camera movements - as I said for the above DO IT!! Current Mark: 0/10 Question 6 - Post that defines about The Rule of Thirds You have made sure that you've embedded a media video from youtube that fully explains what the rule of thirds actually is. However you haven't really explained your OWN knowledge on the Rule of Thirds - you have just relied on what the video has told you. To improve this area of your blog maybe add a brief explanation from you. Although there is this problem, you have actually involved your audience and made the text fun to read and isn't dull and boring. Current Mark: 6/10 Question 7 - Post that defines what Match-On-Action The post you have published is clear and understandable for the reader. You have made sure that the explanation is in

depth and covers everything the reader needs to know about Match-On-Action. Also you have added an embedded media video from a well-known film "The Hobbit" which has loads of examples of Match-On-Action that supports the text/explanation you have provided. Current Mark: 10/10 Question 8 - Post that defines what the 180 Degree Rule is Again you have provided your blog and reader with accurate and understandable knowledge about this rule and have shared an adequate sized post explaining the In's and Out's. You have also added in a video and noted down the source the video helps to explain the 180 Degree Rule in a more professional sense, picking up any bits that you may have missed. Current Mark: 10/10 Question 9 - Post that defines continuity You begin your post bubbly and welcoming, thus inviting the reader in to read your post further. You've chosen a video clip from another well-known film "The Pirates of the Caribbean" showing all the continuity errors amongst it; making the viewer again more interested in your post. Your explanation is strong

and provides viewers/readers with your knowledge about the continuity in films. It's straight to the point, doesn't babble and waffle on about stuff you don't need to. Overall an interesting post that invites the audience in. Current Mark: 10/10 Question 10 - Post that defines how scripts should be presented. You have clearly demonstrated your understanding about the scripts in your post. You've set out the post neatly and clearly - allowing the audience to see Step 1 from step 3 etc. The important information in your post you have highlighted in capital letters. This allows the reader to see on one glance what is important. An embedded media picture or video is important!! Make sure you add one in to break up the text. Current Mark: 7/10 Question 11 - Did you complete the Preliminary Task successfully? Did you observe the basic production rules? You clearly evaluate your preliminary task well - going into detail about what techniques your used and how/when they were used. Each section is clear by subheadings, it's neatly

presented. You have completed your preliminary task and from what you have put on the blog you seem to have followed the basic production rules. A video of your preliminary task is needed so that the audience can watch your finished film and make a judgement for themselves. Current Mark: 9/10 Question 12 - Does your blog have a continuing narrative? Does is link logically from post to post? Is it easy for the reader to follow your media journey? From thoroughly looking through your blog I have come to the conclusion that your blog does have a continuing narrative (a thread) and the posts are linked logically. Your media journey is easy to follow as you progress through the lessons due to the way you have laid out your blog and posts. Current Mark: 10/10 Question 13 - Have you demonstrated good time management? Are your posts complete? Have you completed homework to the best of your ability? All of the posts of which you have published are finished completely apart from the fact a couple of them haven't

been embedded with media. I'd recommend you do this to complete your posts. You have completed all assigned homework correctly and you completed them all before deadlines. They aren't rushed and answer everything you were asked to do. You seemed to have used your time wisely and have managed to keep your blog up to date. You are yet to finish the other pages on Cut Types, Camera shot and Camera Movements. Current Mark: 9/10 PERCENTAGE: 69%
