Prayer Over the Commitment Cards

Gracious and loving Father, we ask you to receive these commitment cards as a sign of thankfulness, for all the blessings you have graciously bestowed upon us. We ask you to bless those who already made their generous commitments to the To Teach Who Christ Is Campaign. May your Spirit prompt others to make their pledges following the leadership of fellow parishioners. Give us all determination and faith to fulfill our pledges. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

This weekend is our Commitment Continuation Weekend.

From the Pastors Desk In todays First Reading, we see young Moses and priests who hold up his hands in prayer to God. We can compare praying Moses to our Church which is constantly upheld by the efforts of all the faithful. The Readings of last weekend reminded us of the need to be gracious to God and others. As such, I want to thank all of you for your generous hands of caring and support that have been extended to our St. Francis Borgia Parish.
We ask for volunteers, for new Lectors, Eucharistic ministers, participants in different prayer groups and ministries: Catholic Womens Club; Golden Club; Parish Welcoming Ministry; Peace Prayer Service; Divine Mercy Chaplet; Society for Social Concern; Sacred Heart Prayer Group; Respect Life Group; Padre Pio Groups; Bereavement Ministry; School Parents Association; School Advisory Board; Knights of Columbus; Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers; Religious Education; RCIA; Crafters; Choir members; Greeters; Ushers; Marian Movement of Priests; Scouting; Italian Catholic Federation; and Our Lady of Czestochowa etc. We can follow a beautiful example of many boys and girls who volunteered recently to be altar servers. Your willingness to be active members of our parish family would be a beautiful gift on the Parish Feast. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ This form may be dropped in the collection basket, given to the rectory or Parish Council Member if you are interested in joining a Ministry. Respect Life
"When number nineteen came, the family gives him love. He got so much love from the family. When you have a large family, the children are getting all kinds of love from all their brothers and sisters. Theres nothing more joyful than a baby. For every little mouth that God sends, He sends the little bit that is needed. I had faith in God that if He sent me a child, He was going to feed that child. I lived better than some families with two or three kids. My kids started doing things! Its not how many kids you have; its your faith in God." -Mrs. Lucille Dippolito, mother of 20.

Dear Friend in Christ, Our parish has been on the To Teach Who Christ Is Campaign journey for several weeks now. We have been asking the question, What does St. Francis Borgia mean to us? If our parish family is important to you and means something to you, then now is the time to support it and the life-changing work it does in our community. I am encouraging participation of each and every household. God has blessed all of us and all of us will bene it from this campaigns efforts. Our success is going to depend on the participation of us all! Our parents and grandparents built these beautiful churches and schools and ministries in our diocese. And they were able to do so with far, far less than we have --- because they sacri iced! Let us stir up our faith and let us give in a way that would make them proud. Through our To Teach Who Christ Is Campaign, let us continue to build Gods Kingdom in our corner of the world. We thank those who already made their commitments to our Campaign and we remind others that they can make their pledges at any time. The success of our Campaign depends on the participation of us all. So far we received 537 pledges out of 2500 attending Masses every weekend. Yours in Christ, Rev. Richard Milek
