Realizing that there is a direct relationship between the physical and mental well-being of the child and his nutritional and health condition, the school implements a program that takes care of the nutritional status and health of the school children. The establishment of school canteen was encouraged and a certain percent of the canteen proceeds was utilized for the feeding of severely and moderately undernourished pupils. This resulted in a reduction in the incidence of absenteeism and maintained zero drop-out in the school. This program was able to attract more enrollees especially in the more depressed area of the baranggay. In Service Training Programs (INSET) Recent international tests in Science and mathematics showed that the Filipino students lad behind their counterparts in the Asian countries in the above-cited subjects. One of the strategies adopted by DepED is the INSET program in Science and Mathematics (INSET Science and Mathematics), which is part of the project standard discussed in the succeeding pages. Culture and Arts

Pupils / Students awareness about Filipino customs, traditions and heritage are developed through the lessons in MAKABAYAN which the Revitalized Basic Education Curriculum provides. Strengthening these concepts are done not only through the lessons but through school celebrations, participation in arts and cultural competitions up to regional and/or national levels. Schools hold programs to celebrate or commemorate important school events such as Buwan ng Wika, Family Day, Nutrition Month, Fiestas, and other significant historical events such as Independence Day, Rizal Day, etc. Caimito ES conducted the selection of athletes for every event for the months of September to October 2010 during Saturdays and Sundays. This was done in preparation for the District Athletic Meet. B. Literary, Music, Dance Drama and Other Cultural Shows

Teachers are encouraged to conduct, and create competitions and train group of performers which are meant to harness the potentials of the teachers and pupils / students as well as to improve the performance of the division during cultural presentation. These are also ways of applying the Theory of Multiple Intelligence and developing self-confidence, and the personality in general among the pupils/students and teachers. It would also give the schools the opportunity to discover talents and to develop their potentials for much higher level competitions, thus giving honor to the school, and the division; and boost the morale of the teachers and the parents. In line with these, activities were undertaken which are as follows: (1) School Reading Marathon; (2) Street presentation; (3) Organization of culture groups such as Drum and Lyre Band, Dance Troupe and the like; (4) Participation is sports events. C. Media

The school paper is a vehicle for expressing the ideas, opinions and views of the students aside from being an avenue for developing the skills of pupils and teachers in writing and journalism. For these reasons, the school has encouraged and enjoined all schools to put up a functional school organ with at least two issues in a school year.
