Summer Intern, Mobile and Ubiqitous Computing Group, IIIT, Delhi June-August, 2013 Mentor: Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Associate Professor, MUC, IIIT, Delhi Designed an extension board for multiple sensor interfacing and data aqcuisition with the Raspberry Pi using various protocols such as I2C, SPI, 1-wire and Modbus RTU for UART Provided a ready sensor node for future networked and data acquisition systems Summer Trainee, Advanced Robotics and Embedded Systems, Techonophilia Systems July, 2012 Undertook a training curriculum in Advanced Robotics and Embedded Systems using Atmel AVR Programmed a line follower bot that was additionally: gesture controllable using an MM2760 accelerometer, cellphone controllable using a DTML decoder, RF capable using CC2500 transceiver and remote controllable using the RC-5 protocol Obstacle detection using the MATLAB image processing toolbox

Projects Undertaken

Undergraduate Thesis: To study charging and discharging of home inverter battery remotely using Internet of Things January, 2013 onward Mentor: Dr. Amarjeet Singh Using the Raspberry based DAQ and an analog frontend, will study the charging and discharging of home inverter batteries remotely over the web Remote data analysis to study battery strength and remote home automation for minimum rate of battery consumption, especially in case of prolonged usage, by shutting down low priority loads.

Will be using the same analog frontend to study power consumption and rate of energy usage in batter powered rickshaws in Delhi. Sensor data will be tallied against auto speed, distance travelled and passenger occupancy to ascertain correlation and optimum usage patterns Congnitive Radio Transmitter setup for an unknown multiple transmitter environment using USRP October, 2013 - Present Mentor: Dr. Saket Srivastava, Lincoln University, UK (erstwhile Associate Professor at IIIT, Delhi) Aim to setup smart transmitters that will be capable of constant spectrum sensing to look at free channels available for transmission and Time Division Multiplexing to allow data transmission in case of N active transmitters in an (N-1) channel environment Introduction to Software Dened Radio using USRP N210 and GNU Radio March, 2013 - May, 2013 Mentor: Dr. Saket Srivastava Developed applications for an FM receiver and an FM transmitter for .wav audio le transmission on SBX and WBX RF daughterboards Carried out GSM snooping using Fourier Transform to locate nearby GSM beacon frequencies and calculated their ARFCN numbers to ascertain authenticity. Obtained data dump for various Beacons (encrypted) for burst intervals Road Accident Prevention Unit: Phase 2, Texas Instruments Analog Design Contest, 2013 December, 2012 - March, 2013 Mentor: Mr. Dhananjay V. Gadre, Associate Professor, NSIT, Delhi Developed a prototype for Road Accident Prevention and Damage Mitigation using real time driver parameter sensing and GPS and GSM capabilities to speed up response time in case of an emergency Interfaced an MQ-3 alcohol sensor to sense alcohol in the breath of the driver, an MMA-2760 accelerometer to determine the drivers tilted head state and an IR sensor to detect the closed eye state of the driver with an ARM Cortex M3 based micro controller (Texas Instruments LM3S608) Developed an algorithm to ascertain the drivers threshold conguation on system boot-up to aid the processor in making decisions Analog Circuit Simulation: Phase 1, TIADC 2013 September, 2012

Veried the time period of a Schmitt Trigger Based Multiple Periodic Waveform Generator on paper, veried the waveforms on a PSpice simulation and carried out a hardware implementation of the same on Texas Instruments Analog Starter Lab Kit (ASLK) Multiplayer Pacman Game displayed on a Digital Storage Oscilliscope June, 2012 Mentor: Mr. Dhananjay V. Gadre Established Graphic Display in the X-Y mode of a Digital Storage Oscilloscope using two 8 bit R-2R ladder based Digital to Analog Converters Multiplayer Gameplay using two priority encoded Controllers interfaced with an Arduino for processing PCB Design and Fabrication for a Voltage-Regulated Power Supply, EC-220 Course Project December, 2011 - January, 2012

Designed the PCB for a 5V power supply with a maximum current drive of 1A. Foldback Current Limiting was provided to ensure Short Circuit Protection Publications, Conferences Conference Paper, IEEE Xplore Research paper entitled Road Accident Prevention Unit: A prototyping approach towards mitigating an omnipresent threat has been selected by IEEE for digital indexing in IEEE Xplore Texas Instruments India Educators Conference, 2013 Presented our project, Road Accident Prevention Unit, on my teams behalf, as a Winner of Phase 1 of Texas Instruments Analog Design Contest, 2013, in the Automobiles Section Extra-Curricular Activities Member of the Varsity Soccer Team since freshman year Member of the NSIT Quiz Club.
