Question 1- THE MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT IN MALAYSIA 1980-2010 Stability in economy growth creates a good healthy income.

When people have completed their basics needs, it is time to make life more comfortable. World become smaller and technology help us to live better. Everyone dream to have transport that helps us to move and travel. Based on the graph, Malaysia motor vehicle ownerships have growing up rapidly. Treatment are always there, based on Royal Malaysia Police statistic, it shows that the car theft cyndicate in Malaysia have a doubled their busines over the decade ending 2010. We can also see that an average of 200 cars new and old are stolen daily. The trend that we see here is the worst case of vehicles theft as in the all types of vehicles. There are two types of car thefts. Old cars are stolen mainly to be cannibalised because its difficult to find new parts for old cars. These cars are seldom insured against theft and the owners bear the burden wholly. Cars that are newly bought less than two years old are stolen to be exported. Owners should be alert and take several preventive measures to avoid their vehicles from being stolen. Install the vehicles alarm system is one of the most practical preventive movement. The alarm system will alert people around if something interrupts the vehicle. Hence, additional key lock can also apply to lock around the steering, it might be difficult to take away the car immediately if somebody broke into our vehicle. We can also protect our new cars with good anti- theft equipment. It can be as simple as on immobilizer with noncolour code wiring. Installed tinted windows can also prevent car thief from seeing inside our vehicle. The tinted cause trouble to the thief because he cannot peer to figure out how to break in. It is harder for the thief to see what are the belongings left inside the car. Owners are advise not to leave their expensive goods like laptop, I pad and jewelleries in their vehicles. Tinted window also protect vehicles from heat and owner gain additional protection that can prevent theft. Owner should park their vehicle in public car park that surrounded by light. A practical solution is to used public vehicle park that using CCTV as monitor. It will help us to be more confident when leaving our vehicle. The thief will be facing problems because the guard will be alert if someone tries to break in the vehicle. 2

Using GPS transmitter technology will also benefit us to protect our vehicle. Case study in United States and United Kingdom shows the vehicle can be located only 20 minutes after break down. This is a practical solution to the owner. Although the cost might be expensive but the GPS technology have prevent car from stealing our vehicle. Supply creates its own demand is a principle of basic economy. Today, transport is very important in the modern world. When increasing of motor vehicle on roads, the motor vehicles thieves are also increase. Owner can prevent and protect their vehicles by following some suggestions that I have stated above. We can control and prevent the car theft by working together and use technology to protect our vehicles.

Questions 2- Essay To Protect A Factory Set Up Planning In Our Neighbourhood. As we know pollution happens everywhere on earth, every single second everyday. It can happened in just around the corner in our own neighbourhood or town. Smog hanging over cities is the most familiar and abuious form air pollution and water pollution. Generally any substance that people intruduce into the atmosphere that has damaging effects on living things and the enviroment is considered air pollution. One of the great palm oil company will set up their new factory just next to the housing area. If this happen, are we just going to sit down without doing anything or dare to express our feeling against this disastrous poject? If we just let this factory exist, in a week time we will be guaranted to find polution in cars, home electronics and even our own home. Pollution is a poison for anything that are living things. The effects we could do to save our neighbourhood from pollution could be proactive. Everyone benefits when we have clean water, air and land. Everyone can live in safety. We never hear any news on the TV , talking about how a human passed away from clean air overdose. Instead we hear news like, man died from pollution, family living in home pollution. Therefore, we can take what we have now and laws that can help us from killing ourselves and putting the neighbourhood in a more clean state. We hold our hands together and voice out our stands not to allow them to build this harmful and poisonous factory near our site. 3

The problem is, not everyone agrees with the fact that pollution is hurting us right now, or going to hurt us, and new generations to come. People get this information from insignificant and false sources and then spread that information to others who willingly to listen, without objection. Some places have higher levels of pollution in their air and water and those people might be in more danger than us. In this case, did we think we are better than them, just let this palm oil factory project becomes a reality. Of course not. We must fight for our own rights to live in a healthy surroundings. Let us do the demonstrations two. Industrialized countries have worked to reduce levels of sulfur dioxide, smog, and smoke in order to improve peoples health. But as a result, not predicted until recently , is that the lower sulfur dioxed levels may actually make global warming worse. If we let them to cut down all the trees and clear surrounding area to build up the factory, our neighbourhood would becoming warmer. Our home will be a boiling pan and become terribly hot each day. The smoke which is discharged from this factory is the mixture of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and methane . These are all poisonous gases. The World Health Organization states that 2.4 million people die each year from causes directly attributable to air pollution, with 1.5 million of these deaths attributable to indoor air pollution. Then comes the sound pollution. The harsh sounds of the factory machines running every days and night, affect our power of hearing and causes fart trouble. The factory waste of course will pollute our rivers by various dangerous chemical and biological wastes. This factory discharge will be very harmful to the to the water, living things and its plants. If the air we breathe, the water we drink and the soil which produces our crops, vegetables and fruits, all become more and more impure, then our chances of good health and longevity will be very less and less. Realising the danger, we must plan a very proactive ways to block this factory from being built here. Please work together with me to save our environments. Thank you.

Question 3- PLAGIARISM Copy and paste, simple work, simple research and finally we graduate as first degree holder. Many people want to fulfil their dreams as fast as they can with the easiest way. Plagiarism has become an issue because these activities create graduates that cannot give their own ideas to develop their jobs. You have to think about how you want to identify your sources . If your sources are very important to your ideas, you should mention to the sources we get it from. Plagiarism comes from a Latin word for kidnapping and in modern world it has been defined as stealing a persons ideas or writing without permission. The most common type of plagiarism are submitting someone elses written work as your own, copying information verbatim from the internet, using incorrect paraphrasing and not documenting references copying from other peoples works. Many people think of plagiarism as copying another work or borrowing someone elses original ideas. These activities lead us to plagiarism because we never mention sources of information. The originally of work will define as stealing ideas from other and cannot be trusted. Honesty and integrity of the work will be asked. Therefore, student may be expelled from study because cheating when doing research or assignment. In the academic world, plagiarism by students is a very serius offend that can result in is punishments such as a failing grade an the particular assigment. If plagiarism continuing growing concern across the universities in Malaysia, the quality of graduates will be decreased. As a result, many graduates cannot give their own critical thinking to solve problems. When this happen, firms facing problem and may closed their operation because cannot compete in competitive market. Efficiency of solving problems and generate new ideas is the key solution in competitive market. Plagiarisms only lead someone to steal but cannot implement own idea to solve critical situation. Due of stealing ideas and written research, a graduate might lost a degree or a job if the university find out that the research or written assignment is not originally made by him. It causes moral value and prestige of the university. The university ranking will goes down, lack of confident of graduates graduated from university will caused them trouble to find job and compete with other graduates from other universities. People will ask about quality, so, plagiarisms activities create students without good critical thinking, cannot be a good think 5

tank and cannot be a problem solving manager. As I see it, we must control plagiarism from being viruses that only build a person with highly dependent to other to solve problem. As a consumption this plagiarism matters depends on how serious the students to take into their proactive towards preventing this kind of activities occurs. In this globalisation world, we need people that independently can work under pressure, bring good ideas by using critical thinking. A good think tank is a person who find a way to solve problems using ideas by himself. Therefore, we must hold plagiarism activities to build a dynamic nation that can act, work and solve problem by using our own ideas.

Questions 4 A Goods And Services Tax (GST) Why pay more? It is unfair to add more costs on products that we buy in market. This question always in our mind once the government precede goods and services tax (GST) to replace sales and services tax which has been used in the country for decades. GST to set to replace the current Sales Tax and Service Tax system in Malaysia and it is a multi-tier consumption tax. Which supply means GST is applied at every stage of the supply chain. I agreed that GST should be implemented in Malaysia. First, only business that has the turnover more than 1 million for the past 12 months compulsory to registry with Inland Revenue Board (IRB). This indicates that GST is applied on consumption value and not earnings or profits. GST is applicable on virtually all supplies of goods and services, except for this essential commodities such as rice, flour and sugar. Therefore, we have choice where to spend our money. For example, only several times we spend money to eat at KFC, Mc Donald, Pizza Hut or other outlets that charges us GST. So we become more aware and spend wisely on important goods and services only. How this GST works. Its actually very simple. GST paid on purchases shall be deducted from the GST charged to customers. This offsetting mechanism is to ensure GST paid by businesses are incremental, based on value-added. Lets say the selling price from the supplier is RM200, and where 4% GST is charged. The supplier then charges the tax to the manufacture, where value added is pushed on. When the distributor receives and pays for the tax, itstransferred to the conssumer at the end price. 6

Secondly, we have a fair tax system. People will pay tax only when they spend their money. This will encourage people to save and invest in productive activities. So, the cost of doing unnecessary business is reduced. The price will be attractive and lower, as a result people have choice to choose the good product. By referring to United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore, GST has generated the companies, suppliers and manufacturers to perform better to gain trust from consumers. For that reason, consumers will get the best goods and services. Consumers will be more aware when they spend money on products and services. As the records, consumers in these countries received a good response on products and after sale services. The products quality always maintain to their need. The main objectives of GST are to generate a stable and predictable tax income in both good and weak economic environment. This can reduce individual tax to people. Individual and company tax will be reduced. This will attract foreign direct investment in country that create jobs, good products and services to country. Last but not least, United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore economy has growth well during weak economy. People spend wisely to goods and services. The saving and investment are growing up due to policy that tax only paid when we spend our money. Finally we have a fair system that everybody only pay tax when they spend money in establish company. I believe, for a long term, GST will help the government and the country in good and weak economy situation.
