German Industry and Commerce (DIHK) - Economic survey


On Feb. 4, 2014, German Industry and Commerce (DIHK) raises its growth forecast for 2014 to
2.0%, after the assessment had still been in the fall of 2013 at 1.7%
German exports should resume a wider growth path in 2014
The economic survey is based on more than 27,000 corporate responses

BMWi - Autumn 2013 Official Forecast


In tis autumn forecast, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) expects an
increase in real Gross Domestic Product from 0.5% in 2013 to 1.7% in 2014.
The number of registered unemployed should increase slightly in 2013 to around 2.95 million
In 2014 unemployed is expected to decline by 20 thousand to 2.93 million persons, representing
an unemployment rate of 6.8%
