2. THE DESIGN PROCESS

BASIC CYCLE OF DESIGN
I. INVESTIGATE

RELEVANT ACTIVITIES
Identify the situation of need or opportunity. Analyze the situation to clarify the need/problem. Write a design brief. Make some relevant research. Identify attributes of the product/solution and constraints. Formulate a design specification.

THE DESIGN PROCESS IN THE CLASROOM

1. IDENTIFY AND DEFINE THE PROBLEM

2. CARRY OUT RESEARCH

3. WRITE A SPECIFICATION

II. PLAN Design some concept products or solutions aligned with specifications and potentially feasible. Evaluate and choose the optimal product design or solution.
